Lott Lashes Out! GOP Senate whip Trent Lott attacks "these talk-radio people who don't even know what's in the bill." The New York Times reports:
Comments by Republican senators on Thursday suggested that they were feeling the heat from conservative critics of the bill, who object to provisions offering legal status. The Republican whip, Trent Lott of Mississippi, who supports the bill, said: "Talk radio is running America. We have to deal with that problem."
At some point, Mr. Lott said, Senate Republican leaders may try to rein in "younger guys who are huffing and puffing against the bill."

It’s like an all-out assault on conservatism these past two weeks: new gun control bill, hate-speech bill that would outlaw parts of the Bible, the immigration abomination, and now this. Notice, some congressional republicans are a part of it.
Lott is a poster boy for everything that’s wrong with the GOP today.

The notion that people freely expressing their opinions on radio is a "problem" shoud scare every single person who loves Liberty.

Who DOES know what’s in the bill? It is hundreds of pages long and constantly changing. At best a few provisions have been discussed..and whose fault is that, exactly? I say a Congress which is trying damned hard to shove this down out throats with no debate.
And the next generation of illegals will come pouring in, knowing that in another 10 years, they'll all be granted amnesty as well.
