Solons’ decision was done deal [MARRIAGE ALERT]
The Boston Herald ^ | June 15, 2007 | Howie Carr

Posted on 06/15/2007 8:10:03 AM PDT by Disturbin

If there's one thing Beacon Hill Democrats can’t stand, it’s democracy.

What happened to all their phony polls on the gay marriage question? I thought the gays were going to win, and that, as one story put it right, "political support in Massachusetts is swinging firmly behind gay marriage."

So why did the homosexuals spend more than a million bucks making sure they wouldn’t have to win that fight at the ballot box in November 2008? A few years ago this same crowd was hissing that government had no right to say who could get hitched to whom. Now that they’re calling the shots, they love having the government push everybody else around.

So now 17,000 homosexuals won’t have their “marriages” invalidated - not that anyone was planning to do that anyway, but never mind the facts. But what about the 170,000 people who signed the petitions to give the people the right to make the decision to ... change, shall we say, the traditional meaning of marriage?

I guess those 170,000 just aren’t Beautiful People.

"Not that yesterday’s events were a big surprise. Two key events indicated which way the wind was blowing - No. 1, the leadership allowed no debate. If the vote had really been as close as the homosexuals were spinning it, they’d have wanted the opportunity to change a few minds.

The second indication it was a done deal: Mitt Romney was nowhere to be seen. Don’t you think he would have returned to take a victory lap if there was even the slightest possibility the measure was going to pass?"

Never, ever, was this proposal submitted to the collective will of the people.

The legislature has simply put off any challenge to the state Supreme Court of its interpretation of the applicable law.

Checks and balances? My sore aching ....

Truth is that liberals have never been big on democracy unless they have a malleable, uneducated electorate to manipulate. That's why they want the twelve million Mexicans here illegally. Whenever an issue dear to the Left is in question, they want only their judges to rule on it. Democratic institutions like voting are not for them.

Admit it. The New York Times got what it bought.
Judge Marshall was brought in, installed, and controlled.

Unfortunately, with Pelosi, Marshall has made this
the DEFINING point of the 2008 election, possibly
forcing a US Constitutional amendment to overcome
the imposition of South African-NYTimes (Marshall) ‘law’.

You’re right — these people are bought and sold. The idea that they “represent” the people is ludicrous.

The Gay publication Bay Windows excoriated the Legislature at the last Con Con. They actually said in print that they had bought this legislature and they had better vote their way. A perusal of the Office of Political and Campaign Finance should provide enough evidence to convict said Solons of violation of MA Law 268A.

Given that judges are installed through the Governor’s council
consisting of lawyers who practice in front of the very judges
they appoint, who then get installed for life with the
connections to remain secret,
exactly what does this have to do with the ‘people’?

The 'Rats are okay with democracy as long as they "win". If they don't, they have problems with it. They're still whining about FL in 2000 and OH in 2004.

A good example is the Washington State governor's race in '04. Christine Fraudoire lost the count on election night and the first recount and she was screaming bloody murder about it. It was only after a second, hand "recount" (really a re-canvass), where enough "lost" ballots (heavily 'Rat King Co. "found" so-called "lost" ballots something like nine different times) where enough "votes" were manufactured for Fraudoire to "win" that they were okay with it. After that, the 'Rats called it a "model for democracy". Yeah, some "model" that it, just cheat enough so you can get a fraudulent win.

Kerry is co-sponsor on two illegal alien bills in 2007.

One of them, S.774, is “to permit States to determine State residency for higher education purposes.” So the libs can determine that they are all citizens and are entitled to taxpayer-subsidized education?

Great example of “democracy” according to the Rats. When they lose, they have to cry in the corner, then the pout, then they cheat until they get their way.

A poll at the Boston Herald is running 62-38 in favor of the vote. That most likely would have been the actual outcome.

Education eh? Did you know that in MA, if you send your child to school in a neighboring city using a relatives address and you get caught, you have to reimburse that city for the cost of the education for the whole tenure?

Silly you. That law and fine only applies to citizens.

Illegal aliens can drive an unlicensed uninsured care
to drop off their anchor babies to whatever school
or university they want, on their way to their unlicensed
clinic to practice unlicensed surgery, as others work
to increase the dissemination of previously eliminated
diseases.

The real question is this:

Will there be a voter uprising to overthrow the massive Democrat and liberal advantage in massachusetts?

The liberals will never stop unless and until they are punished at the ballot box.

Do people care that democracy, rule of law, meaning of words in constitution, and fundamental institutions of society mean nothing to these liberals?

The ideal of ‘equality’ has been more dangerous to modern society than any other idea.

“Will there be a voter uprising to overthrow the massive Democrat and liberal advantage in massachusetts?”

I don’t think so, WOSG. Those that can’t take it anymore have left or are planning to leave the Commonwealth. We’re too busy working more and more hours due to larger taxation, therefore we don’t have as much free time to devote to stopping these leeches.

Mitt Romney was nowhere to be seen...

To his credit, Romney was the one who put the muscle on the SJC to for the legislature to vote on this bill.
