The Republican Party got lucky yesterday and should have been able to claim victory except that the idiot in the White House can't tell a political victory from the Mexican National Anthem because he's completely tone deaf! He's going to keep it up until he ensures a complete 'Rat sweep in 2008 and the GOP is relegated to the permanent minority status that it's most comfortable with!
Way to go W!

President Bush, trying to recover from a stinging setback on immigration, will personally try in a visit to the Capitol next week to revive the embattled plan for legalizing millions of unlawful immigrants.
Why not try personally talking to real people on the street and finding out why the bill failed instead of continuing to live in his ivory tower.

Why not just show the American people he means it when it comes to enforcement and build the fence and enforce the 1986 AMNESTY laws. I would call this a good start. To not do so, proves the farce the current AMNESTY bill enforcement provisions are ...

Bush can’t sell this to the people, so he goes to smooze the elites in that isolated realm of D.C. What a waste.

The President can try to twist arms. I don't think its going anywhere. ENFORCEMENT FIRST!

Thanks EVERYONE who voted for this person. He is so far out of touch that he will never get it. I voted for him and I regret it. There was not a better choice. Excuses won’t help though.

Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., told reporters he was hopeful because the Senate "is a chemical place. There's a flow to activity here. The tide comes in and goes out. And once in a while, the stars get lined up correctly, and we move ahead." Ted's been spending way too much time on his boat....contemplating his navel.

“Whose bill is it?” Sen. Lindsey Graham (news, bio, voting record), R-S.C., said in a news briefing held by bill supporters. “Harry Reid says this is the Bush proposal. Harry Reid is right.”
Graham. Charter member of the Stupid Party.
