This is really something. Brazille is a dyed in the wool, yellow-dog Democrat and has been close to Dollar Bill for many years. Also, Landrieu said something in today’s T-P which was a wink short of a request for resignation. Its the begging of the end and death will come via a thousand cuts.

“Sounds to me like they just want to move his guilty ass out of the spotlight”

Donna Brazile is just part of the Democrat machine. She is reading the script the party has given her. She is high up enough in the party that the media will report her “opinion”. By having her chime in on this, Pelosi and Co. and free to say something like “we don’t feel it is appropriate to comment on this on-going investigation...blah. blah, blah”

Yep, with her saying this, it prevents 'whitey' from having to do it. It's all racial with African-American Democrats. Wait until Hillary finds that out when she says something desperate after Obama overtakes her in the polls...

Brazile Calls for Jefferson's Resignation

This is garbage!

So what? This is nothing more than political kabuki. It's all political cover so the Dems can later say, "Yeah, we publicly called on our own - Jefferson - to resign". Where were all these Democrats a year ago when Jefferson was caught redhanded with cash in the freezer? Why didn't they call for his resignation then? Or where they secretly hoping Jefferson might somehow weather the storm?

It would have been sincere if Brazile had made this declaration a year ago, but now Brazile is actually trying to use this for all the political mileage they can get out of it. It's like a coward coming out from behind the family sofa and shooting an intruder who has already been shot dead by someone else in family and claiming he shot the intruder!

If I were Jefferson, I would hang in there until his party comes to drag me off! What a spectacle that would be!

Some people on the forum may not know that Representative Jefferson was the Democrat gubernatorial candidate in 1999 and polled about 35 percent of the ballots. There are some in LA who still admire him, but they may be afraid to speak up.

Don’t even begin to try to tell me that LA is more Corrupt than NJ. He!! Our corruption is systemic. We go all the way from the local politicians all the way up to our State Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has ruled in recent years that it was ok to ignore the constitution when it involved a Democratic candidate to appear on the ballot after the final date for changes had passed (Lautenberg). The Supreme Court has allowed for the State’s operating budget to be financed by bonds in direct violation of a Constitutional mandate forbidding just such a practice. (McGreevy). They made it sound better by saying that they would allow that for only one year.

We are #1 in corruption!

Well, this isn’t a pissing contest I want to take part in.

All I will say is that back in the very early 90’s the gubernatorial election featured a slogan that I will never forget— “Vote for the crook, it’s important!”
This came about because a notoriously corrupt former governor, Edwin Edwards, was running against a former grand wizard of the KKK, David Duke.

Since then, both have spent time in the federal pokey. Edwards is still doing time.

I like that! “Vote for the crook, it’s important.” That’s a refreshing bit of candor. The sad thing is that in NJ, being a crook is considered the normal way of doing business. Even our so called republicans are content with working the system since it also pays them well. The corruption knows no boundaries. Our Gov. says that him forgiving his girlfriend’s loans in none of our business. This even though she is the head of the State’s workers union and he has to negotiate the union contract this year. It is a very sad state of affairs. A beautiful state, but totally out of control.

"He’s a hard worker, he’s been a dedicated public servant, but this probe, these allegations are a distraction,” Brazile said."

Think again Brazile nutt. The allegations are more a little more than just a "distraction".
