The fact that one of these guys was an elected official in either Guyana or Trinidad should raise a few eybrows from those who say there’s no islamic threat in central or south America.
There was mention of a major terror attack foiled in Trinidad a while back as well.
Islamics are a big problem in the Caribbean, even though they are a small percentage of the population. They seem to have come in initially with the Pakistani shopkeepers that are scattered around down there. Now they’re reaching about 10% of the population, which as we all know is the danger point, when they begin to demand submission of the majority population, the application of sharia, etc. IIRC, there was some attempt about 10 years ago or so to make one of those countries apply Islamic law (Trinidad, perhaps?).
