Students at San Jose University disguise as soldiers, Palestinians at improvised checkpoint to condemn Israeli army's occupation of West Bank

On Israel's Independence Day this year, Max Grossman, an Art and Design lecturer at the University of San Jose in California, fell upon a giant wall built on campus by a student organization called Students for Change.
The wall was meant to symbolize Israel's security fence in the West Bank. Students set up a checkpoint near the wall where fifty students posed as either Kaffiyeh-clad Palestinians or armed Israeli soldiers.
"I was in shock when I saw it," Grossman said. "I am 40, I learnt at Berkley and Colombia, places where numerous public protests took place, but I never saw something like this. They pretended questioning and torturing detainee."
Students disguised as soldiers handcuffed, blindfolded and sometimes pretended to execute supposedly Palestinian civilians with their plastic rifles.
"It was like seeing a play," said Andrew Schwartz, a student at the university. He said students playing soldiers shouted slogans like "Shut up or I shoot you," "You won't see your family today," and "Don't speak."
Schwartz added that some female students disguised as pregnant Palestinian women who were shot by students acting as soldiers for disobeying orders at the improvised checkpoint.
'Free Palestine' and 'End Israel's apartheid' were among the slogans that could be read on the wall. Some students called on the US to end its financial support to Israel.
Jewish students staged a counter protest wearing shirts reading: "If I were a suicide bomber, you would be dead."
Grossman tried to have a conversation with a couple of students disguised a soldiers but to no avail. "They said they did not have to speak to me. They did not want dialogue as they had an agenda," Grossman said.
After the protest, Jewish students pushed for new campus regulations making it more difficult for students to hold protests.
Would it be too much to ask these little maggots to freakin’ STUDY for a change???
So when will they set up a mock suicide bombing in the student cafeteria? Or a mock bombing of one of the on-campus buses?
Lemme guess, never.
That's what I would have done. If it weren't for the current state of paranoia I'd have actually dressed as one of their Palestinians, put on a fake bomb belt with fake blood charges, run up to them, and detonated it.
Someone needs to strap paint bombs on themselves and mark them all as idiots.
No problem. Just make a suicide vest (Think paint-ball grenades)and walk up to their checkpoint and set it off. Make sure it is messy enough to ruin their day. Give them just a little taste of the situation from the Israeli side. Or launch urine kassam (sp) rockets (water balloon launcher). Just a thought.
One could hope that their immolation WASN’T “mock”...
Pure antisemitic street theater propaganda.
Kick them off campus for brandishing guns. In the wake of the Vtech massacre, we don't need the "antiamerican but propalestinian" war crowd riling up lone nuts.
Perhaps if the “student Palis” the student “Israeli soldiers” detained actually blew themselves up and/or laumched missles into the check points and student housing behind the check points killing the student soldiers and other students on campus for no reason then by all means I think their point would have been made.
I have never heard of this school. I have heard of San Jose State University, however.
Shoddy writing.
Just coat them with silly string. No muss, no fuss, but easily shows the hollowness of their argument when a “terrorist” chooses to strike out at them. And don’t just spray the “guards”. Spray the civilians too.
Have someone dressed as Saddam walk up and inquire who was the sprayer’s next of kin and present a check for $40,000 for the jihadist’s effort (Saddam paid the families of suicide bombers).
Maybe the Jewish students could fire some rockets over the wall at these clowns.
To make things more realistic, you know....
And when do these “students” go to class? I sure hope our tax dollars aren’t paying for the loans that they will not pay back.
Warning! This is a high-volume ping list.
‘Learnt’ is the British variant of learned
Saudi Arabia is the true apartheid.
Jews cannot enter the country.
Non-muslims cannot practice their faith in Saudi Arabia.
Non-muslims cannot enter the cities of Mecca or Medina.
Non-muslims have fewer rights and protections under the law in Saudi Arabia.
Then again, it was Jimmy Carter's Saudi masters who gave him that line about "Israeli apartheid".
Still waiting for the "moderate" muslims who pray to Mecca 5 times every day to speak out against the human rights violations in Saudi Arabia. tap tap tap...
Also, ‘dreamt’ (dreamed)
