I think that would Falwell would have been CNN's and almost any networks first choice, had Flynt passed first.

Cheers

LOL, tell it to 99.9% of the US population.

Obviously the minuscule amount of us who ignore it, are not the problem.

Ask yourself if CNN would’ve had Jerry Fallwell on as a guest had Larry Flynnt died first?

Absolutely. They were guests on the show together several times.

Together. I doubt that CNN would’ve sought out Fallwell as “the” guest.

Who WILL they get when Flynt dies now?

Someone from the ACLU or one of his critics?

I doubt that CNN would’ve sought out Fallwell as “the” guest.

Flynt wasn't "the" guest. The transcript isn't time-stamped, but it looks like he was on for about the first 15-20 minutes; the rest of the hour was on other topics.

And the night before, the show spent the whole hour on Falwell's passing, with Tammy Faye Messner, Franklin Graham, Dr. James Dobson, Al Sharpton, Bob Schuller, Mel White and Ralph Reed.

Who WILL they get when Flynt dies now?

Someone from the ACLU or one of his critics?

I doubt they'll give it a full hour, and since he surrounded himself with junkies and whores, most of whom he's outlived, my best guess would be Oliver Stone, Ed Norton and Woody Harrelson, to talk about how much they learned about him while making the movie. It's a cheezy ploy that everyone uses, but King is the master (or, to be more precise, his producers and bookers are).

"Also I think Larry was very respectful in the interview. and other statements."

It says a lot for the reverend, that the one, single drop of class and decency he was ever able to muster out of his miserable, pathetic life was for Falwell.

I thought it was a nice gesture to Rev. Falwell. After a number of years, the two of them became friends or at least friendly. Sometimes we look way into things too much. Oh well, I guess that is life.
