The President attended a news conference in the Rose Garden.
The President also met with with Chinese Vice Premier Wu Yi in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.
The President also met with the recipients of the 2006 President's "E" award and "E" Star award for export achievement..
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visited Hewlett Packard Company headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Peter Pace attended a briefing at the Pentagon.
