1. A person who shares one's interests or activities; a friend or companion.

2 a fellow soldier, this is who the author refers to in his article not to the member of a group especially the communist party.

I have a bad feeling all three of them where killed. If al Qaeda was behind their capture, it is hard to believe they would hold unto them for any given length of time.
