Ever wondered what happens when a fast jet has a blow out on landing?

Here's one less pilot who can stop wondering, as this video shows him doing just that, complete with a classy skid to bring things to a close.

I thought they came stock with tires. That must be the problem, they put some UK equipment on the plane. Good thing they didn't use a British electrical system!

Thought it was on a carrier where having caught the wire this would have been no big deal.....except for expedited cleanup.

There must hnot have been any short-field or overrun arresting gear rigged, so cutting that donut probably saved an expensive extraction that would have blocked the runway, if the pilot ran off the end of the runway. Effective (if unorthodox) method of abruptly losing forward momentum, and surviving the attempt...
