Yes, you’re right:

Fred Thompson/John Bolton 2008

Republicans need to ignore this Ron Paul nut and keep our focus and energy on someone who can actually win the White House in 2008.

I've been hearing (and listening to) that crap since 1994.

So you would prefer Hillary Clinton?

On the bright side, a former Senior Aide to Ron Paul, Eric Dondero, has announced that he will run even if Paul seeks reelection to Congress. And I truly believe that he would unseat Ron Paul in the primary.

The isolationist stance sure to hell didn't cut it in the 1930’s prior to Pearl Harbor and WWII - it only brought these on with the result of 400,000 U. S. servicemen killed in that war (60 million persons killed worldwide).

It brought that on, yes, through the impression that America was a weakling and wouldn't’t stand up for anything, notably Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan.

We have the same thing today with the libertarian/isolationists, a goodly number which seem permeated with antisemitism - and whose philosophy can be summed up in the words, “I", "me", and "my”.

Any move to defend America before terrorists overrun America is simply called American Imperialism by these folk who trot alongside the radical left.

If you all split up the party with small time candidates like Ron Paul, you will be electing Hillary Clinton. We can only fight the Democrats together.

Then you find a socialist candidate acceptable as long as he has an “R” in front of his name?

Don’t forget the CIA and the 9/11 commission. They also believe the silly theory that when you mess around in other countries half way around the world, it tends to piss people off.

Those of us who support President Bush’s war against terror really need to figure out what to do. We are being sold out on the right and the left now.

And on top of it, President Bush has sold you out on immigration and spending as well. It must suck to be you (politically speaking, that is).

I don't know about martin's kid, but there are at least 20 million "republicans" who are fine with a socialist as long as he/she has an R next to his/her name.

Libertarians have won .00000000000000000000000000000000000001 of all the elections they have entered. We should listen to them why????

That argument is so 2 months ago. It was the most common argument of the Rudy crowd, who have mostly been booted.

For what its worth, its not effective. I can guarantee you that you will never convince a single principled voter to vote for a liberal based upon that argument.

Of course, you are free to say whatever you want.

Their isolationist stance was fine in the age of sailing ships and telegraphy, it won't cut it today.

An interesting theory. Please elaborate. I would think that isolationism is the easiest to pull off when you are by far the strongest nation in the world. 200 years ago, we weren't even close to the strongest nation on earth.

Won’t have to. Hillary will win if you waste your energy on Ron Paul and she will bring the socialism that you seem to be craving. Support of minor candidates insures a Clinton victory. If you support Paul, YOU will be electing Hillary.

I don’t think you understand how many lefties like Ron Paul. He may take Hillary’s base because they don’t understand WHY he opposed going to war. In Afghanistan, it was because he wanted a Congressional declaration of war.

The only thing Libertarians are good for is comic relief. Ron Paul is not even providing that.

I predict his constituents will call a halt to the proceedings after his most recent stunt.

He makes Lyndon LaRouche look sane and rational.

They hate us and want to kill us because we aren't Muslim.

But more articles like this should convince people of what a kook Ron Paul is in case they don't know already.
