Tuberculosis cases in King County this year have doubled compared with the same period last year, and health officials say foreign-born residents with the disease are having a significant impact.

Well, if they were all here legally, they would have been screened, as the law requires!
AND, the doctor doing the screening has (or had) to be US-approved.

What this means is that the foreign-born are BRINGING TB HERE!!! Another reason to CONTROL immigration! (Give them some medical tests first, at least!)
Yeah, but this strain of TB is just brimming with DIVERSITY, so let us just embrace and celebrate it.
What if the criminal aliens, crooks, terrorists and narco-gangsters don’t want amnesty? Why should they? Wouldn’t they have to pay taxes? How can you force criminals to become citizens? Why would you? If these people really wanted to be real citizens they wouldn’t use phony ID’s.

Excuse me while I barf. Legal immigrants are screened for diseases like TB. Someone applying legally to immigrate to the US but who is found to have TB or any of several communicable diseases would be barred from entering the US.
The new virulent strain of tb has been spreading among foreign born populations because they brought it with them. It started back in the early eighties/late seventies, with all the boat people and hasn’t slowed down.

From the article. They are not screening all legal immigrants. In fact, the example of an immigrant used in the article is a Vietnamese immigrant who is an engineer with Boeing. They think he contracted the disease more than 30 years ago. Those on work visas receive no TB screening, and visitors do not either.

Bless their little tubercular lungs! “Our Diversity” just keeps giving. I feel warm, and rich and deep. By the way, my daughter, only 22, and who has always had the best private medical care money could buy, ended up TB positive.
Nah, they won’t pay taxes. They want “catch and release” so they can go about their business. Ideally they’d like NO border guards. If you have to have border guards then atleast THROW THE BORDER GUARDS in jail so business can continue.
Ah, but you don’t understand. Bush BELIEVES that criminals WANT to be citizens - pay taxes, be honorable, learn the language, assimilate and do the “jobs Americans won’t do”. LOL! What IS Bush smoking?
The truth is Bush WANT ILLEGALS here ... some deal with Mexico, and really wanting to believe that criminals when treated nicely will vote for Republicans - LOL!!!
