Recent observations of colliding galaxies have strongly led to the first. And yes, this has been directly observed (assuming you consider gravitational lensing to qualify for “directly”).
Robert Heinlein had a book that postulated that there were 3 space dimensions and 3 time dimensions, but we only used 4 of them at a time. I forget the specifics, but he calculated the number of possible orientations as 6^6^6, which hand-scrawled on paper without the "^" would resemble the Number of the Beast. (And who knows ... maybe that is the original number and it's just been mistranslated along the way.)
Anyway, the story quickly becomes a dimension-hopping sci-fi romp.

Nope and this is what I really wanted to comment on. The bible says God is light or energy. Christ transformed Himself into a being of light in front of His apostles and also states to the Pharisees that in Heaven, we do not have physical bodies to be married or create children. We will be transformed in a twinkling of an eye according to Peter into this form (energy).
I believe the answer to the time/dimension theories to fit into Quantum Physic theoris may not be necessary at all. Time does not exist when velocity of matter or energy are accelerated at the speed of LIGHT. God is light. The big bang tells us energy was converted to matter. No other dimension need not exist but perhaps it does and that is what is called “Heaven”. Light can be accelerated many times it’s own existing speed of 186,000 miles per second. This was proven in the last five years when man accelerated a proton several times the speed of light. As theorized, the proton appeared in two places at once. If God is light, being in multiple places or what some call ‘omnipresence’ is easy for the Creator.
Man himself will evolve into beings of light. Movies such as the Matrix where your conciesness is stored as code and electronic impulse is not that far off. When that happens, we will not build spaceships like in Star Trek to go faster the speed of light. The theory of relativity tells us it requires more enery then the entire universe contains to accelerate matter (velocity as the author calls it) faster then the speed of light. If you are energy, you can acccelerate hundreds if not thousand times the speed of light and travel to one end of the universe to the other in moments.
Interesting. Einstein toyed with five dimensional space-time but gave up on it because of the math.

I live in the Fifth dimension. In your dimension, up is the opposite of down but here in the Fifth dimension, up is three miles east of Philadelphia...except on Wednesdays.

I think it is already shown in relativity theory that there is no such thing as synchronous events. But I could be wrong. My mind didn’t completely recover after the explanation.

Actually, to me this in an incredibly impressive idea of God. To control every single variable in our known universe is amazing. Do you know that our scientists cannot even calculate the amount of potential variables in the universe? The numbers are too big.
We would never be able to “block” God with manipulation of His creation. For example, we may be able to manipulate steel and energy to create a nuclear submarine to patrol the oceans but we’ll never be able to block God from allowing/preventing us from doing so. Moses and the prophets of old were given part of the plan for mankind. Chris showed Himself in His true form to His apostles as energy. More plans were revealed during that age for mankind. The apostles were blown away by it. Peter asked sensitive questions about the future which Chris had to rebuke him to stop asking.
In our age, the last part of the plan of mankind is being revealed. I just simply embrace it and it excites me! I am NOT excited about the man-made religious focus of what was revealed during the apostles time about the future of man. I love the gospel, don’t get me wrong. I just think too much focus by modern Christendom is about the old, not the new.

Nope, energy is far more powerful and limitless compared to matter (us).

Really? The big bang started as a ball of energy. We indeed are part of Him. Where did He reside when this known universe was being formed into the big bang?
Light and energy are a subset of what is generally considered the creation. If God is composed of light or energy, then he is inferior to the creation unless you are ascribing some sort of consubstantial nature to light and energy.

Amen. The plan of God/Christ is to offer mankind direct fellowship with Him in His home. Our initial existence was to be only matter on earth as gardeners and caretakers of this planet. This new plan for mankind is indeed exciting and numerous scripture speaks of it.

We are a creation. The power of God cannot be matched by our understanding or manipulation of His creation. We we always only be able to manipulate the creation He allows. Think of a cat. A cat is somewhat of an intelligent creature. However, a cat cannot use silverware, get dressed or take a shower. Why? Because their are limits to the creation. Their are limits to what we will ever be able to understand living as matter/flesh. That is what is so exciting about God’s plan of direct fellowship. It is permanent transformation into something far better and more interesting without a lot less limitations.
