C-130 low level (radar avoidance) flights are at-or-below 200’ AGL. Rode them many times and they are extremely turbulent. Bounced off the ceiling a few times while donning parachute and not strapped in. Hope report is incorrect.

I was a translator on the EC-130H out of DM. We flew high in the sky as that bucket of bolts could go. Had to make sure the Iraqi SAM radar sites could get a good lock on us.
Also rode on the C-130’s from Dharan to Riyadh when we went down there. Worst trip ever. Got a flat tire on the Dharan taxi way (in the summer time).

That 200 ft was most likely Spec Ops, they have a terrain flowing radar.

(To go up pull back, to go down pull back all the way.)

The only time we’re allowed to fly below 500’ is when we’re on a military training route, away from populated areas, and then it’s only down to 300’. Any lower & we’re gonna land.
