This is basic stuff. JimRob has reinforced the conservative politics of this forum. If you choose to promote Rudy Giuliani`s liberalism over the conservative goals of this forum, good chance you'll be shown the door. If you degrade good conservative candidates for 2008, that likelihood increases. Going along with the leftward slide of the GOP is not a scenario we conservatives support. And I'm still looking for candidate too.

Don't get so caught up in the anti-Rudy movement that you become abusive to those who have good memories of what he did for NYC.

Rudy was conservative enough to reverse NYC's slide to anarchy. The nation is not in similar peril, hence we do not need Rudy. Instead, we need principled, conservative ledership.

Just about everybody here on FR is a conservative in some way. Educate those who support Rudy why he is not what we need right now without the personal attacks (on the poster and on Rudy) and you will advance your cause further and faster than you believe possible.

There are definitely some serious problems in his background. I don’t yet see a general lack of honor in Rudy. But I could be persuaded.

Well, don’t call me a RINO lover. I don’t consider Rudy a RINO, although I do consider him increasingly problematic the more I see and learn about him. I don’t like RINOs. I do, however, think they’re generall much better than most Rats.

Thanks. There are some people who don’t even understand the concept anymore — even if they’re honorable themselves!

Yeah, there are definitely some ugly customers on FReep.
I shudder to think what impression is given off to new visitors.

LOL The NewYawkers I know are tough, they can take hearing the truth about Rooty Tooty. Besides, this is hardcore political debate and no punches are pulled.

Again. The objective of this forum is to oppose the liberal candidacy of Rudy Giuliani and work to knock him out of the race. Period. Exposing his liberalism along with revealing his political record and future agenda, allows everyone to see Rooty in his unvarnished liberal form. And BTW, that is the form of a repulsive creature.

Defend Rooty at your own peril.

You're in the minority around here on that one.

Rudy is a liberal RINO. He makes a good Democrat. As a Republican, he sucks.

I don’t care if I’m in a minority around here.
Neither should anyone else.

Whatever. Jim`s been situating FR for the 2008 race and his goal is to take Rooty down. So far, anyone who has become an impediment to that goal, has been shown the door. A word to wise is sufficient.

FReep should be a forum for conservatives, not a tool to destroy Rudy. If Rudy deserves to be destroyed, FReep will spontaneously serve that goal, because more conservatives will end up opposing him. Manipulation by the moderator, if it’s happening, is an inexcusable breach of faith. And it would end up badly damaging his — our — site if continued much longer.

Its a forum for both conservatives and the destruction of Rudy Giuliani`s liberal candidacy for the GOP nomination. IF you have a problem with that, YOU ARE on the wrong forum.

At the top of each forum page is a link to: "The Giuliani Truth File- Rudy: In his own words and deeds". That link exists to compile ALL the info, data and public comments of the liberal, Rudy Giuliani. This is hardball politics.

LOL. How juvenile.

I know you meant it as an insult because you are unable to understand disagreement, but the dictionary definition of “hysterical” defines your affliction very well. You are so hysterical that you are irrational. You can’t seem to get it through your head that I was in NY City and saw how he transformed it. I supported him long before he became popular during 9/11. I supported him when the media trashed him in support of Hillary’s senatorial campaign. I supported him when the media trashed him over his policies.

However, you hate him so much that any support of him must be “hysteria” and due to the positive media coverage of 9/11 even though most people on this site hate the media. Brilliant deduction! Because you don’t like him, his record in NY means nothing to anyone, even people who were there. In fact, because you don't like him he has no record. All support of Ruddy is hysteria, right? Forget his record, it’s all hysteria.

There is no difference between trying to have a rational discussion with you or conceited liberal.

Does it make you feel good to claim that people who disagree with your hysterical ravings aren’t looking at the facts?

Go back to school and learn how to make an argument without using the dictionary.

Hmm. Since I’m so influenced by the media which I hate and never trusted, and since Ruddy has no record in NY because you hate him, I wonder I why I despise John McCain who for so many years got the best coverage of any politician running.

Keep telling yourself how brilliant you are, when you can’t even make a coherent argument.

The man simply can't tolerate different views

If you'd spent your career around New York City politicians, you would think (a) you are the smartest person in the world and (b) no one else's opinions are worth the breath that it took to speak them. In that sense, I can hardly blame Rudy.

The “views” that Koch wanted Ruddy to tolerate were his stupid liberal views. And to liberals toleration of their views means throwing out your own views and accepting their views.

I’ve learned a lot about Rudy and many other candidates since I started reading and posting here, pros and cons. A few months ago I was all set to support Rudy for President because of his success while mayor of NYC and his leadership after the attacks. Now, I have no idea who I will vote for in the primary and won’t know until I learn much more about all of them.

I think Rudy turned NYC around and did wonderful things for that city as a few posters here have already posted much more eloquently than I could attempt. I knew he was pro-abortion but didn’t realize how liberal he was on other issues until recently.

And when it’s time to vote in the primary I’ll have enough info to make a decision. I do know that I will vote for the repub nominee over any current dem.

Just a thought. Isn’t it funny how control freaks are so out of control? Just look at Rooty’s life.

Geesh, control, huh.

Depends on how things go, I guess. Tomorrow’s debate should be interesting to see.

In any case, I have no interest in whitewashing Rudy’s accomplishments. But I think that, on some part, they’ve taken complete prominence over his words, deeds, and actions that are anything but conservative in nature.
