"Hi" Save. So you made it to Paris. [France, not Kentucky.] Mercy me. Or Merci moi?

Should have figured you would find a way to check Free Republic, even from France.

Have you checked out the Left Bank of Paris yet? Oh, wait, I forgot you are conservative. Have you checked out the Right Bank?

You were right, Def, he did win. See below:

Washington, DC (NBC) - White House spokesman Tony Snow has claimed victory in a battle of beltway bands.

Snow and his band “Beats Workin’” faced off against “Honky Tonk Confidential”, a retro-country band fronted by CBS anchor Bob Schieffer at the National Press Club Ballroom.[On Monday 14 May.]

Schieffer sang the semi-autobiographical tune “TV Anchorman”, while Snow played an intricate flute melody on a Jethro Tull cover.

The multi-talented White House spokesman rotated through several other instruments including rhythm guitar and saxophone during the competition.

After an audience vote, Snow and “Beats Workin’” were declared the winners and presented with the “Crawling Kingsnake Trophy”.

“Beats Workin’” and “Honky Tonk Confidential” were the only two bands in the competition.

Save, take lots of pictures. [I know you are better at that than I am!] And drop us a picture postcard, er...e-mail, when you get a chance.

Adieu 2 U.

I hope Snow got some last-minute pointers from “Anchorman” Will Farrell aka Ron Burgundy - he played a mean “yazz flute.”

LOL

I stayed in Rive Gauche for the short time that I was in Paris. I got in as much sightseeing as possible and then arrived at the office before 9am on Monday.

A full camera of shots of Paris. I will get them online as soon as possible, although when I get back, top priority is studying for the test a week from today.

Don’t be too envious— the weather is cold and wet and I have been doing a lot of heavy lifting— literally and figuratively. I am very happy to be here, but it would be sad to pay for a vacation here and have this type of weather (LOL and have to lift lots of heavy items).

LOL. Any time you want to renew your experience with unreasonable (internal) customers, I invite you to spend a day in IT.

Thanks, I will take it easy. I think that the hard part is over and now it’s just time for quality control. We will find out how well we did when the workers come in tomorrow (it’s a holiday in Frants today, which gives us extra time to prepare).

Thanx for the update. Your timing was not the best. If the Socialist had won the election, she had talked of reducing the absurdly short [35 hours?] work week to 30+/- hours. Instead, you arrive when the guy elected wants to extend the number of hours in the work week.

That said, I still find it hard to muster any sympathy for someone lucky enuff to be in Paris!

LOL

Sunday was Paris. Monday thru Friday is south of France.

I think it’s better that people are out of the office right now so that we can resolve any issues before they come in, so that they will have a good experience with the new environment.

Let’s see. My translation is:

a) You are not, in fact, in Monaco, or

b) You got a free pass to ride the Metro in Paris.

?
