McCain: we need to secure the borders.
[Where has McCain been for the last decade? How long has he served in the Senate? Did he just wake up from a coma?]
Timmy quoting McCain on opposition to the Bush tax cuts. Video of McCain with how disproportionate went to the wealthiest.
McCain point out how so much revenue has come in because of them and that it will be a tax increase if you don’t make them permanent.
McCain says he had his own plan for tax cuts. Timmy says even during a War. McC says yes and the problem is not cuts, but rather spending.
Timmy says spending on the war is considerable.
McCain point out other areas of huge spending and unfunded liabilities.
MTP
McCain complains that spending is the problem in Washington.
[Wanna bet McCain got his share of pork? How many times did he feed at the trough?]
Thanks, Rod. I got angry when Wesley Clark compared moveon.org to SwiftBoat Veterans. BOR instead of challenging that up, he agreed with him saying he too was a critic of SBV.
TAke heart his numnbers are falling like the rest.
Timmy asking McCain about Rudy’s pro-choice position and whether someone like that can get the nomination.
McCain says he could support a nominee who did not agree with him on every position.
Thanks anita!
Great stuff, as usual, and proves once again the hypocrisy of Democrats. I guess we will be spared the “poll claims” Democrats seem to think should be used to govern. (Funny how they only use polls when the poll supports their positions.)
My pleasure, Morgan.
Oppps....
Tim catches JohnnyMc in a flipflop on ethanol. He was agin' it before he was for it.
Morning rodguy, I hope the fires get a bunch of rain today.
Yes, we will be in the mid 80’s today. But, we will probably have rain moving in later this afternoon.
A classic example, snugs. Bureaucrats everywhere seem to get job satisfaction from attacking middle-class folks, while giving a pass to total losers.
Ex: Heavy fines for driving infractions for American drivers.
No fine for driving without a license if the driver is here illegally.
Apparently, McCain is not on the ethonol bandwagon.
Oops, now Timmy point out how McCain in Iowa is FOR ethanol.
McCain says it makes sense when oil is at 60 dollars a barrel. He’s for sugar cane, switch grass and other stuff to get energy from.
McCain makes a pretty good case countering Timmy’s attack playing it up as an adjustment to the realities of today.
He says we have a serious problem with climate change. Ugh.
Timmy basically says this position is just because of the Iowa caucases. Very insulting. McC says he can’t respond to a question like that.
MTP
McCain: hasn’t changed his mind, he has adjusted to the realities of the day.
But the Iowa caucuses has nothing to do with his ‘adjustment to realities’.
Now Timmy hitting up McCain on his age.
