An impartial investigation? Due process? Nah. They're just Marines.

'As Bad As Haditha'

Yeah as if the media/Murtha version is now an undisputable fact and Haditha is synonymous with massacre. I hate the media.

"Col. John Nicholson told Pentagon reporters Tuesday that he had apologized for the shootings for what he termed "a terrible, terrible mistake" that "is a stain on our honor and on the memory of the many Americans who have died defending Afghanistan and the Afghan people."

Col. John Nicholson, YOU are a stain on the American people.

One senior official who has seen the results of the preliminary investigation into the incident says it was "as bad as Haditha,"

murtha! murtha! is that you murtha, or is it just one of your fink cronies in the DOD?

Political expediency demands more Marines in prison, by any means possible.

Don’t these maroons understand what is going to happen to our fighting men?
The enemy attacks our troops in the middle of a civilian setting and we our supposed to just pick up our casualties and run away with our tail between our legs!
Myself I wouldn't’t be surprised if the Army and Marines start missing their recruitment goals big time.

This is shameful and embarrassing. I hate to sound like a broken record, but the buck stops with the Commander-in-Chief. Bush apparently has no problem leaving the scumbag lawyers in charge of the prosecution of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even that idiot Petraeus is in on the act (Commander to troops: Fight by the rules) as he encourages Marines to rat out their brothers-in-arms.

It is a friggin disgrace.

The problem is that an Army general was commanding a bunch of Marines, and I believe there is some rivalry going on here. The Marines are new to Special Operations, in fact, I think this was their first or second assignment. By the statements I’ve read from this general, he sounds resentful of Marines being in SpecOps, and I believe was only too glad to send them packing. My son is in this unit of Marines, but thankfully, I found out he’s not one of the ones under investigation. He’s not allowed to talk about it, but from what I’m reading, the whole incident doesn’t make sense. So-called witnesses said the Marines were firing indiscriminately for 10 miles. That doesn’t sound right. That’s a long way to travel while shooting at no particular targets. These guys are too well-trained to do something like that. I hope these guys aren’t being thrown overboard to save some bigwig’s hide.
