Iraq: Explosives Found Under Pipeline
AP via Forbes ^ | May 7, 2007

Four Iraqis were arrested early Monday after soldiers found a load of explosives planted under an oil pipeline in northern Iraq that carries crude oil to Turkey, the Iraqi Army said.

About 330 pounds of TNT were discovered under a stretch of the pipeline in the al-Kisk area, about 50 miles west of Mosul, said Col. Mohammed Ahmed, a spokesman for the 3rd Iraqi Army division. The explosives were removed and safely destroyed without injuries, he said.

Four suspects - all Iraqis - were arrested nearby, Ahmed said.

Mosul lies 225 miles northwest of Baghdad.

Looking at this map makes me think “the whole dam place should be nuked”. I feel sick looking at this map knowing how many of our soldiers have died in this crap hole.

Indeed. I always pray that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST US WOULD PROSPER. And the same goes for our troops and the innocent ones in Iraq. I believe God IS at work in Iraq to help expose the enemy’s tactics. I also pray for confusion in the enemy camp. Both of these prayers are scriptural. Mxxx

There are MANY good Iraqis who, like us, want freedom for their country.

They need to hang some of these people. Maybe a lot of them.

‘Speaking of pipelines, the United States (together with UK and Israel if possible) shoud bomb and destroy Iran’s pipelines, refinery, storage tanks, and nuclear sites. This should be done yesterday.’

Yes, except you left out bombing as many military targets as possible. We can and will leave Iran’s military infrastructure (including missiles, planes, tanks and ships) as smoldering piles of rubble.

The Left in the US has left President Bush no choice in this matter, since its constant defeatism has emboldened Iran to the point where it can’t be contained. I believe hostilities will commence before this fall, and I’m certain they’ll commence before next fall. B-2s for the win!

“I believe God IS at work in Iraq to help expose the enemy’s tactics. ‘

That’s the best he can do while people are being murdered daily? I don’t see how that can be rationalized.

It could be a LOT worse, believe me. The more we pray for Iraq and our troops, the more God can work over there. He works on our behalf when we pray. God has been at work here and in the UK to expose hidden plans as well. He’s the only one we CAN turn to; certainly not anybody’s government, including our own.

If that’s the best God can do, he’s an underachiever.

Good point!

God helps those who help themselves - that is, our guys are doing a great job, but our leadership is uncommitted. We have too many people in the US, particularly in the government, who don’t understand the importance of this, don’t understand the seriousness of our enemy, and won’t really make any effort or even give any support to those who are making an effort.

If we had some committment, things might be different. But God won’t do it for us.

Watch what you say about God. He’s mightier than YOU or I will ever be and HE will work out what needs to be worked out. We do NOT know His plans so it’ss best not to cut Him down.

God does NOT help those who help themselves. That isn’t even in the Bible. God helps those who surrender their problems to Him and allow Him to work them out. But, you are right. We can’t win a war any longer because of this damned political correctness and winning the hearts of the people crapola. We have to play nice, no torture, no doing anything to offend. GRRRRRR.

“Watch what you say about God.”

To the extent there is a God, I will.
In other words, I won’t.

” God helps those who surrender their problems to Him and allow Him to work them out.’

You can’t be serious. Alarmingly, I think you are.
If no one made the effort to work out their own problems, we’d be nothing more than slugs.

We can only do so much and we usually screw it up. I’ve learned that only too well. When I turn myself and my ill health over to God, He gives me the grace I need to go through stuff I’d rather avoid. HE is supreme in my life and I’m not one bit ashamed to say so. The more I turn over family members, problems, sickness, etc., the more He helps me. I am much happier today than I ever was when I was trying to carry all these burdens myself. Try it sometime. God loves YOU so much. You’re special to Him.

As JFK said in his inaugural address: “So let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking his blessing and his help, but knowing that here on earth god’s work must truly be our own.”

A very wise statement, in my opinion.
