Inside the Inside Story [Feith Rips Tenet a New Orifice]
Wall Street Journal ^ | 4 May 2007 | Douglas J. Feith

Posted on 05/05/2007 9:44:37 PM PDT by Enchante

Mr. Tenet's account of all this gives the reader no idea of the substance of our critique, which was that the CIA's analysts were suppressing information. They were not showing policy makers reports that justified concern about ties between Iraq and al Qaeda. Mr. Tenet does tell us that the CIA briefed Mr. Cheney on Iraq and al Qaeda in September 2002 and that the "briefing was a disaster" because "Libby and the vice president arrived with such detailed knowledge on people, sources, and timelines that the senior CIA analytic manager doing the briefing that day simply could not compete." ...."We weren't ready for this discussion."

This is an abject admission. He is talking about September 2002 -- a year after 9/11! This was the month that the president brought the Iraq threat before the United Nations General Assembly. This was several weeks after I took my staff to meet with Mr. Tenet and two-dozen or so CIA analysts to challenge the quality of the agency's work on Iraq and al Qaeda.

Mr. Tenet savages the staffer from my office who presented that critique, although elsewhere he sanctimoniously derides "despicable" political attacks on hard-working professionals. He misstates her credentials, which include 20 years of experience as a professional intelligence analyst. (He calls her a "naval reservist," which she was not.) He garbles the title of her briefing: It was not "Iraq and al-Qa'ida -- Making the Case" but the perfectly neutral "Assessing the Relationship Between Iraq and al Qaida." Mr. Tenet puts in her mouth the haughty and foolish assertion that the al Qaeda-Iraq issue was "open and shut" and "no further analysis is required." I was there, and she didn't say anything even close to that. The whole point of her presentation was to urge further analysis.

Because George Bush does not think like democrats. His mind is not twisted to conceive ways to destroy the other party because they have power through election. Our President does not have a devious mind so he wouldn’t see the deviousness of the clinton criminal enterprise. He assumes that Harry Reid actually wants to protect this nation, so it never enters the President’s mind that Harry will sacrifice anything and everything to empower the democrat agenda. The forty plus million slaughtered alive unborn children is proof democrats will sacrifice anything for their empowerment, but our President cannot fathom that truth of the democrats because he wants to trust them because he cannot wrap his mind around the treachery they practice!

Something is off the mark with Tenet...he appears to be another liar/pervert, protected by the other pervs in office. That is how this guy got promoted...

Reminds me of some of the incompetents we have running around my office, but at least when they screw up no one dies.

Good work. Thanks for reading a book that I don’t care to read, because I don’t want to give this slime a cent.

Feith Rips Tenet a New Orifice

He needs a new orifice; his existing one is worn from all the talking he's done out of it.

Berger was named by Clinton to collect administration info that was “classified” top secret from the Archives for the 911 Commission.......one of the major goals was to learn who-knew-what and when re bin Laden, al Qaeda, their plans, etc. All we got from the 911 Commission about this was gibberish.

But Berger spirited away original documents (admittedly some were “original” only because they contained handwritten comments on memos and the NIE in question), quite likely to have been evidence of dissenting opinions or even the known facts.

One can only imagine how the course of events re the 911 Commission investigation would have differed had Berger been an honest man. The same goes for lots of other people appointed by both administrations, or should I say all 3 administrations, to give credit where it is due?

In this age of “political politeness” it has become nearly impossible to remove the really dangerously incompetent imbeciles, one trick “race baiting” ponies, family boobs who “inherit” office or incapacitated from political office..

Someone needs to come up with a legally permissible form of fragging to address some of these despicable a$$holes and race baiting pimps.

Obviously - with the vote now available to the welfare dependent leaches, felons, illegal immigrants, illiterate, nonproductive, uneducated, perverts and enemies with an anti America agenda — the exercise of a pure Democracy is doomed to decline on an ever steepening slope..

And why did he continue in the cover-up of Clinton’s disastrous failure to deal with the terrorists?

COMMENT:

Lots of things just do not add up with what this administration has done over the last few years, especially with respects to Billy Clinton.

I am also wondering just what Tenet did to EARN the highest medal a civilian can receive.

If his book is any indication of his deservedness then he should give the medal back.

Good morning.
“And why did he continue in the cover-up of Clinton’s disastrous failure to deal with the terrorists?”

That’s easy. He was involved in the crime up to his eyebrows and, as another FReeper pointed out, he would have kept his mouth shut if Sandy Burgler hadn’t disposed of the proof.

I agree, see my post #28.
I meant to also address to you..

During my career of over 37 years with one company - a very large international high tech corp - we had a few “Dilberts”.

They usually met a point where they became self revealing due to their ineffectiveness or being reported by their subordinants and were “addressed.”

In my later years prior to retirement, I was a “remover”...

Hmmm....

THIS will never make it to the mainstream media, will it?

I can only shake my head, and wonder how we got ourselves into such a state...

Best to get this one from the library. I did. I thought I would find out something redeeming about this guy that the media was not telling me. I was wrong.

I find him incredibly disloyal. Either he was totally incompetent, or absolutely disloyal, or both.

Both, I think, but incompetent is what I am reading between the lines on every page of this book. It’s not what I expected & it makes me ill.
