Report: Democrat Congressman Lobbies for Code Pink to Sit In On Gen. Petraeus Classified Briefing
Wednesday, May 2, 2007 | Kristinn

Posted on 05/02/2007 11:26:56 AM PDT by kristinn

The Politico reported on Monday that a Democrat Congressman demanded that the notorious terrorist supporting Marxist front group Code Pink be allowed to attend the classified House briefing by Gen. Petraeus last week.

According to an unnamed Republican who participated in the meeting, Rep. Hank Johnson, Jr. stunned the panel by demanding an explanation for why the Code Pink protesters just outside the closed hearing room weren't allowed inside. His fellow Democrats had to set him straight and his demand was rejected.

Johnson is a freshman who defeated Code Pink ally Cynthia McKinney in a primary run-off last August. Even though Code Pink campaigned for McKinney, apparently Johnson has no hard feelings and has continued McKinney's alliance with the treasonous group.

One has to wonder if Johnson briefed Code Pink after the hearing about the the classified information he was given.

Johnson serves on the House Armed Services Committee.

So apparently only stupid people are allowed to run for office in that district.

Well, we seem to have replaced McKinney pound for pound, don’t we. No hope here.

These radical fifth columnists are not only insane, with their hate of America — but seditious, and should be investigated. This kind of idea is beyond the pale, and should be grounds for the recall of any member of the Congress.

Where does this hateful STUPIDITY come from ??

Democrats hand the republicans a golden club every single day, and the republicans refuse to hit them over the head with it.

Talk radio will use it, but every republican should go forth and conquer with this stuff. They don't.

It's in the state Constitution. We're trying to change it, but, as it stands now, that district is reserved for stupid.

What is the point of having these people testify if it is nothing but an opportunity for the lefties to create a spectacle?

It is a testament to the priorities of the Dems that a freshman is allowed on the ASC. This USED to be a choice spot that people worked up to...
I suppose they have him slotted for Ways and Means next year. Sheesh.

1. You can report Code Pink’s violation of its 501(3)(c) status by using forms/phone numbers provided at this link:
http://www.sweetness-light.com/archive/watch-501c3-code-pink-illegally-lobby-congress

2. You can call the Republican representatives on the committee, or the minority phone number for the committee (available online) and ask them to investigate whether information was given to them. I bet if you simply asked Code Pink, if you called and posed as a like minded person, you could catch them admitting to this.

Considering Rockefeller’s trip to Syria six months before the war and the countless leaks, nothing surprises me anymore. Nonetheless, not calling and reporting and following up permits it to continue.

Yet another disgrace, courtesy of a “majority-minority” district.
