From the release:
Former Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele (R-MD) has joined FOX News Channel (FNC) as a political contributor.
Steele previously served as Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, a position he was elected to in 2002 with running mate Governor Robert Ehrlich. Before serving in office, he was the Chairman of the Maryland Republican Party.
Prior to entering politics, Steele graduated from Georgetown Law and specialized in financial investments at Cleary's in both the Tokyo and London offices. After leaving the law firm, he founded the Steele Group, a business and legal consulting firm.
GREAT NEWS !!!!!!!!!!!
It’s going to be great to see him on TV, but I’d much rather see him running for elected office. I really like what I’ve seen of him! Thompson/Steele in 08?
Michael Steele rocks!
Good for the FNC. I hope he does well.
It will be great, if it’s true.
He will learn from this experience and be all the better for a future run for public office. He paused too much and will overcome this by being on TV.
Great for him! I love Michael Steele.
Good to hear. May he kick some Juan Williams and Alan Colmes back-side. LOL!
This will give Lt. Gov. Steele some consistent face-time. It’ll be good for him.
If Steel does not get the VP spot, he would make a great GOP chairman.
That is ( T S ) for the Demorats.
This is great, but he should hve been Senator.
FNC is very lucky. Now if the would sh*tcan jerry rivers.
if he runs for public office it’ll have to be other than in MD .. that state is hopeless. He and Ehrlich won because the blacks in MD were so ticked at Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and showed the D’s they weren’t as reliable a voting bloc as everyone thinks. AND, Ehrlich/Steele were a very attractive team ... 2006 was not the year for any Republican to do well in a blue state.
This will give him a year to build up his name ID before the Veepstakes heat up next Spring.
I am really, really happy to hear this. Good luck, Mr. Steele.
Hannity, Colmes and Steele has a good sound to it.
I agree, Thompson/Steele would be the cat’s meow!
Is this to balance out Harold Ford Jr.?
