Every Thursday at the Finest ![]() |
Happy Monday!!
Thank you Billie!
Great Pledge.
Hi, Auntbee - good to see you again on today's thread!
Good morning, y'all. Breezing by on my way out the door.
Having a really nice day shaping up and I'm going for my morning walk.
How cute! That’s a terrific animation. :)

pffttt....nothing like some of the really nice ones I see over here. But, thanks anyway. It was a snag! LOL
Mornin’ Billie, Rus.
Given Rus’ uploading problems as noted last night and this am, for me, it created an even greater need to pray for and support our troops. We didn’t have the Military Tribute thread to remind us, but instead brought forth the idea and question, if Rus or Billie had not posted the thread, would we still remember our troops? I think the answer is a resounding YES!!!
Good Morning!
(no apology necessary, better late than never:)

Good morning!
I have a brother, Matt, who is a generation younger than me. He is about 25 and in the National Guard. His unit is already in Iraq. The other day he was called up for training in Mississippi and Texas, he will be leaving this area May 14th. He will be in the south for about 10 months then possibly Iraq.
Is it my imagination, or is this list growing very fast?
One of my grandsons is now in Iraq with his dog. The Pentagon only allows dogs to serve six months in a war zone, so they will be home this Fall.
Still, I pray for their safety and keep a big yellow ribbon on my door.
Thanks for a great thread!
I’ll add your brother to my prayers each night.
*hugs*
May God be with your brother, PAL and your grandson,MonkeyFace. I am so grateful for their service to our country.
I’m thankful that my grandsons (and my children before them) are willing to serve. I can’t even vocalize how much it means to have two in uniform at the same time. (Er...three. including the dog...;o] )
I understand! You have much to be proud of.
I have one grandson in the Navy.. His grandfather was in the Navy so I am very pleased and proud. ;)
Once you’ve been in the Military Family, it’s in your blood. I was a military wife for 30 years, and I was proud to “serve” with my husband.
Then it was my kids’ turn, now it’s my grandkids’. The pride doesn’t stop! I love them all!
I forgot to say he has a wife & a 3 yr old daughter. Thank you for your prayers.
Prayers for your grandson, Monkey Face.
