Famed Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein has been given access to a trove of papers amassed by Hillary Rodham Clinton's best friend, which his publisher says will reveal a number of "discrepancies" in the New York presidential hopeful's official story.

"Bernstein reaches conclusions that stand in opposition to what Sen. Clinton has said in the past and has written in the past," said Paul Bogaards, a spokesman for Knopf, which will publish Bernstein's book June 19.

the former Washington Post reporter - who spoke to more than 200 of Clinton's friends, colleagues and political opponents - reveals examples of how Clinton has played fast and loose with the facts about her "personal and political life," according to Knopf.

Who knew?

Is Fort Marcy still open to the public?

If so, be afraid Carl. Be very afraid.

So yet another "tell all" book about how evil Mrs. Bill Clinton is will be coming out.

Yawn.

The leftists in this country couldn't give 2 fecal excrements about how evil any of their candidates are, they will happily and cheerfully vote for them anyway because they will keep the bum check gravy train flowing.

The net effect of this book on Mrs. Bill Clinton's campaign... 0.

“The book could also revive the explosive charge, made earlier this year by David Geffen, a Hollywood mogul and former Clinton donor, that “the Clintons lie with such ease, it’s troubling.””

This is the second time I’ve seen this statement. What Geffen said is a conclusion, not a charge. A charge would be that the Clintons lied in a specific situation. And what does “it’s troubling” mean?

Anyone who didn’t already know that the Clintons lie with ease must be comatose. You don’t have to wear a clock around your neck to know what time it is.

The liberals probably won’t buy it because they don’t care how much the beeitch lies. Conservatives won’t buy it, because it’s old news to us, and frankly, we’re bored with it.

Hillary had her friend Ed Klein write a ‘scathing’ book about her so that she could:

1) play victim
2) promote tabloid stories that distract from her socialist agenda

Carl Bernstein is doing the same favor for her.

Why am I very, very suspicious of what Berstein’s conclusions will be about EVERY internationalist liberal’s FAVORITE ex-President (and her husband Bill Clinton)?

Be very cautious about this book. It can criticize (a little bit!) minor errors or omissions, then be used as an excuse and coverup for MAJOR lies and coverups by other mainstream liberals (er, reporters.)

Bernstein's book stops short of accusing the New York senator of blatantly lying about her past.

Then he isn't telling the truth. Hillary is a LIAR and if he has been 'researching' it for eight years he KNOWS it. Besides, he is getting this information from the Clinton's best friends.

This is nothing more than publicity for his book and he wants people who don't like Hillary to buy it!

I know all I need to know about the Clintons up close and personal for more years than I care to remember! No thanks, Bernstein.

"Carl Bernstein's stunning portrait shows us, for the first time, the true trajectory of her life and career," Sonny Mehta, chairman and editor in chief of Alfred A. Knopf, said in a statement.

The book is likely to touch some raw nerves. One writer who has crossed swords with Clinton advises Bernstein to watch his back.

"She has the most powerful war machine that has ever been developed, and it is led by people who have been to hell and back," the writer said.

Get it out early to minimize the damage. The oldest clinton tactic in the book. Amazing that her “friend” leaked all that so far from the election. She fed him.

Why is it OFF-LIMITS to call these LIARS, "LIARS"???

BTW: I wonder who this "best friend" is who shared this stuff...

Actually, the Ed Klein book did reveal some new material, most notably her association with lesbians going back to her college days, and a story about Bill Clinton boasting to a friend about raping his wife in order to conceive Chelsea.

Klein also went to some folks in the "vast right wing conspiracy" to help him promote his book. I doubt if Klein and Her Thighness are on speaking terms these days.

As for Bernstein, judging from his leftist WaPo credentials, I would venture a guess that his book will not be worth the hype that this article gives it.

Probably much of it will be "old news," but there may be a surprise or two that will add to our ammunition in the campaign against her.

You’re probably right. Until we see the canceled checks from the Lippo Bank/Red Chinese Army, the Clintons can just shrug this off.

There were no checks. The money was wired directly into their numbered Swiss accouts. This is SOP for pols of both stripes.

'who gave the trove? Will he pick the more 'luke warm' discrepancies; the worst. . .or all of them.

That said. . .Hillary will survive. . .she is bi-lingual now; she can lie in two languages.

In the Clinton White House, Hillaryland grew into an influential but often frustrated power center inhabited by dutiful staffers whose first allegiance was to the first lady, not the president. “[W]e were also our little subculture within the White House,” Hillary writes in her memoir. “My staff prided themselves on discretion, loyalty and camaraderie, and we had our own special ethos. While the West Wing had a tendency to leak, Hillaryland never did.

While the president’s senior advisers jockeyed for big offices and proximity to the Oval Office, my senior staff happily shared offices with their young assistants.” Bill Clinton staffers regarded the dwellers in Hillaryland as Kool-Aid drinkers with awful political judgment. Hillarylanders saw Bill’s people as showboats and referred to them dismissively as the “white boys.” Hillary “took a dim view of many of her husband’s West Wing advisers,” writes John Harris in The Survivor, his excellent account of the Clinton years, “who she regarded as too immature and too worried about currying favor with the Washington press.” Hillaryland was different.

Today, Hillaryland is a vast political empire based in Washington and New York that, in its scale and ambition, is unrivaled in Democratic politics. But the spirit of Hillaryland, as well as many of its leaders, remains the same. Alan Patricof, Hillary’s Senate campaign finance chair, who has been raising money for the Clintons for two decades, says, “She’s got a very loyal group of people around her who have supported her for a long time.” In fact, everyone in Hillaryland says that. They prefer to compare Hillary’s operational style to George W. Bush’s rather than Bill’s. The unspoken, and sometimes spoken, premise is that, unlike her husband’s White House team—not to mention the last two Democratic presidential campaigns—there are no mercenaries in Hillaryland, only true believers, a culture they say is hardening now that many Democratic sharks are circling Hillaryland, looking for a way in. “I have been involved with her for seven years. [Advisers] Patti [Solis Doyle] and Maggie [Williams] are going on 15,” says one close adviser. “There is an intense loyalty.”

In Hillaryland, you’re either in or you’re out.

James Carville? In. (He’s personally close to Hillary and speaks to her regularly.)

John Podesta, Clinton’s last chief of staff and now the president of the Center for American Progress? Way in. (He has important links to labor and environmental groups and serves as a policy conduit to Hillary.)

Harold Ickes, one of the architects of Hillary’s 2000 Senate campaign and a devoted Hillary man, whose work with 527s requires him to maintain some distance from Hillaryland. But, for the record, Ickes is still an influential adviser.

Hillary’s closest policy adviser, Neera Tanden, who has been with her for the better part of a decade, now works at the Center for American Progress. Luzzatto, the chief of staff, is a 20-year Senate veteran

Neera Tanden is senior vice president for academic affairs at the American Progress Action Fund in Washington.

The American Prospect was founded in 1990 as an authoritative magazine of liberal ideas, committed to a just society, an enriched democracy, and effective liberal politics. Robert Kuttner, Robert Reich, and Paul Starr launched the magazine initially as a quarterly.

Neera Tanden, a senior vice president for Academic Affairs at the Center for American Progress, has been appointed Hillary Clinton campaign’s policy director of 2008 presidential election.

Prior to joing Academic Affairs at the Center for American Progress Center, she was Legislative Director for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY). Before that Neera was the senior vice president for Domestic Policy for the Center for American Progress. Neera was the issues director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. She has also served as the senior policy advisor to the Chancellor of the New York City Schools, Harold Levy. Prior to that she was the deputy campaign manager and policy director for the senate campaign of Hillary Rodham Clinton. Neera also served in the White House under President Clinton as the senior policy advisor to the First Lady and associate director in the Domestic Policy Council.

Hillary’s new legislative director, Laurie Rubiner. Hillary by way of former Republican Senators John Chafee and Bob Dole and, most recently, the aggressively centrist New America Foundation, where she ran a program on universal health insurance

When Hillary wasn’t informed about a news conference:

a Clinton aide was apparently so furious that the Senator seemed to be left out of the loop that she bawled out (”reamed out” was how one source put it) a spokeswoman for Reid near the entrance to the Senate Radio-Television Gallery.

The Clinton aide, Laurie Rubiner, was overheard saying to Reid spokeswoman Rebecca Kirszner, “You suck” and “How could you do this?”

Sources say Clinton looked “visibly upset” at the news conference.

Patricia Solis Doyle—Patti to everyone in Hillaryland—and her job is running Hillary’s two main fund-raising entities, HillPAC, a so-called leadership committee, and Friends of Hillary (FOH), the senator’s reelection vehicle, one of the crawl-across-broken-glass-for-Hillary friends, mostly women, who have been around a long time. Others in this camp are Maggie Williams, Hillary’s former East Wing chief of staff, who helps Doyle manage Hillaryland, and Tanden, a daughter of divorced Indian immigrants who credits government programs with saving her life and who has worshipped Hillary ever since she served as a nobody campaign staffer in 1992.

Doyle, the sixth child of Mexican parents who came to the United States illegally, is the president of this Hillary fan club. The first person Hillary hired for the 1992 campaign, she had the disarmingly simple title of “scheduler.” Hillary has written that Doyle “ran my life hour by hour for nine years,” and aides invariably describe her as one of Hillary’s closest confidantes

“Doyle founded Hillaryland (her brother is Alderman Danny Solis, 25th Ward, Chicago, IL)

Patricia Solis Doyle, executive director of HILLPAC

Patti Solis Doyle, is Mexican American. Both of Clinton’s Senate offices, in D.C. and Manhattan, have Hispanic staff. And with the launch of hillaryclinton.com this month, she became one of the few pols to offer an entire website in both Spanish and English.

Clinton associates say that the source of Ms. Solis Doyle’s power is plain. “Patti and Hillary know and trust each other implicitly,” said Rahm Emanuel, a representative from Illinois who was Bill Clinton’s political adviser in the White House.

But Ms. Solis Doyle’s job is a grueling one, routinely forcing her to work well past midnight, as the late-night e-mail and instant messages that she sends attest. “She’s my friend,” Ms. Solis Doyle said, offering an explanation for her devotion to Mrs. Clinton. “You think I would do this for anybody else?”

******

Before Imus was fired by CBS, Hillary sent a mass e-mail to her supporters, saying Imus’ comments about the Rutgers women’s basketball team showed “small-minded bigotry and coarse sexism.”

It was filtered through George Soro’s media machine including admitted liar David Brock, Media Matters, on to the MSM who echoed everything they put out.
