The Factor next welcomed Jon Voight, actor and father of Angelina Jolie. Voight briefly spoke about his upcoming film “September Dawn,” which looks at a massacre perpetrated by Mormons in 1857. “I found this story shocking. I see it as an anatomy of religious fanaticism and using religion as a rationale to murder people.” Voight also broke the Hollywood liberal stereotype by defending the president and asserting that America is at war. “We have a real enemy, we’re facing people who want to destroy America and want to destroy democracy. And I’m quite frightened by our great nation. We’re being divided by extremists who really believe the propaganda they’re being fed on a daily basis. And when I hear people saying unthinkable things about our president, when I see him defaced, my heart is very heavy. And I know we can’t be defeated by military power, but we have been invaded by propaganda.”
