Yep, your extensive calculations are quite disturbing! McCain and Graham need to set the record straight why they didn’t show up to vote. Even if it was only symbolic, if McCain wants MY vote to be president he really blew it by him tossing away HIS vote on this piece of garbage.

More importantly, Hagel and Smith need to get drummed out of the republican party. I dont feel like giving the GOP another dime of my money with those 2 traitors stinking up the works.

This is going to get very ugly.

Yes, it is (unless Bush caves in order to set a new tone, in which case it'll get even uglier in real terms).

The Democrats won't give up on this, they can't, they've set their course and their base will not let them back off without punishment.

We're locked in a spiral down that leads only to internal conflict...because the Democrats think it more important to destroy their internal opposition than it is to preserve the honor, integrity and security of their nation.

The majority of American voters will not elect a defeatist for President no matter what.

I respect your position here jveritas, I truly do. And I truly wish it were true. But you are very mistaken, the America of the early 21st century most certainly could elect a defeatist. The honor that Churchill spoke of so eloquently is absent today in America as we rapidly pursue the course taken by Europe before us -- to soft socialist stupor.

Leiberman was the Only Democrat I voted for in 06, and I really had to grit my teeth when I pulled that lever, Leiberman has really proven himself on this issue and I thank him often for standing by the CIC in support of the troops and the WOT. Kudos to Leiberman for standing up to the Defeatists.

Maybe we should FREEP Hagel (R-NE) and Smith (R-OR) for voting for this legislation.

Gadzooks, I don’t want those two turncoats to get any of my support either, but to cut off the entire GOP will just allow the traitorous Democrats to gain a bigger foothold on our nation and our livelihood!

Don’t stop funding the GOP. I’ve actually given more as I see too many Freepers say the same thing. If we all stop, the Dems & their Terrorists allies have really won!

Run, Fred, RUN!

F****n Traitors! I wonder what our troops over there think about this? Furthermore, the enemy must be very happy right now.

Here’s a website with all the Senators’ Wasshington DC adresses and phone numbers. I plan on contacting at least five: Hagel, Smith, McCain, Graham to express my disappointment and Lieberman to thank him for his support. They need to hear from We the People.

Neverthe less, the legislation is the first binding challenge on the war that Democrats have managed to send to Bush since they reclaimed control of both houses of Congress in January.

Here's my veto. Bind this you democrat @$$holes.

Any comments on McCain (Common sense conservatism) not voting, since you are the keeper of the “The McCain List” threads?

And the kumbaya/appeasement approach to terrorism. You’d think by now we would figure out that such an approach doesn’t work. But some don’t have a clue...and some don’t give a dang.

This is what the GOP gets for its corruption, its stance on open borders, open immigration, and “trade with anyone with money” policies of the last six years.

Have we learned yet?
