BERKELEY -- Two UC Berkeley students who had been sitting in a redwood tree on campus to protest university policies came down Wednesday and were cited for trespassing.
Matthew Taylor, a spokesman for a student organization called the Phoenix Coalition, said students Michael Schuck and Jason Ahmadi are scheduled to appear in Alameda County Superior Court on May 25.
Taylor said police told the pair on Tuesday that they would not be punished if they ended their protest that day. The two elected to continue the demonstration for another day to support the coalition's demands for free speech on campus,

Why don`t they protest to increase CO2 emissions because as I understand it, when CO2 concentration drops below 0.02%, photosynthesis stops thereby killing plants. As of now the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere is 0.0383%...Something must be done! Global freezing is approaching! Trees are dying everywhere!

What the heck is wrong with sitting in a tree??? And to call it trespassing? What, they can’t be on the grounds of their own school at night, or 2 or more days in a row? Why the heck is it trespassing?
