You can see the Video Here Fred Thompson on Abortion
Another one of your disingenuous posts. I am starting to come around to Jim Robinson’s way of thinking about cleaning house.
That’s a slippery post.
Yes it is. But it is not necessarily an anti-abortion position. For example, his answer in this video would strongly suggest that the PBA ban by Bush is not a good thing.
I’ll bet you all the tea in china he would not say that now though
Oh really? Then go ahead then. You are not the moderator and this is a legit post about a video that just came on YouTube. Actually I just was really scanning RACE42008 and found their post about it.
Poeple post Youtube stuff all the time. It is BEST that this stuff is posted now, in the primary.
Areafiftyone has stated repeatedly that she will support Fred or whomever else gets the GOP nod, even if its not (hopefully) her guy.
Good stuff.
Careful now, don’t feed the trolls.
I would be happy to see that as well, but you mischaracterize the state of laws pre-Roe v. Wade. Many states outlawed all abortions, but New York and California were very permissive. There was no federal law, just as there is no federal law against murder (except in limited cases of purported federal interest).
I think the way to go on this, if we could regain the majority in both houses of Congress again (and if our pubbie reps would grow a backbone), would be to pass a federal law stating that life begins at conception, and that all human life from that point is entitled to equal protection under the law, including protection from wrongful death. It's a legitimate federal interest per the 14th amendment; otherwise it's rightfully a state issue.
Touchy touchy. Nobody pinged anyone.
Me thinks thou dost protest too much.
Duncan Hunter has introduced just such legislation this year. HR 618
You don't want anyone to post to you?
Good for him. It would have been nice to see something like that when the makeup of Congress was a bit more favorable, although I doubt it would have gone anywhere in the Senate. I'm sure Nancy Pelosi will give it a fair hearing.
You better have 61 solid pro-lifers in the Senate to pass that.
Silly, i was talking about people like you. People who, when confronted with dissent scream fowl and want to purge it from this forum. Just because i disagree with you about fred thompson doesn’t make me a rino or a troll. You’ve got a pretty poor argument if your only attack on me is troll because FT isn’t my first choice in the primary.
I told you FT made these pro choicey comments in the past, and viola, here they are now. Rudy takes a federalist position and you ream him, FT does the same thing and oh its cool, its okay.
It’s the 2nd or 3rd time he has done so. First time was in 1995, I believe. Having spinless pubbies in charge did not help. They committee it to death.
I don’t know how any candidate or politican is going to escape any videos on YouTube unless they were alive before moving pictures. LOL!
You called ME troll, right?
Rudy takes a federalist position and you ream him, FT does the same thing and oh its cool, its okay.
What you refuse to get through your thick skull is that their rhetorical positions are NOT the same (where does Fred call for federal funding of abortion?), and further, Fred has a 0% rating from NARAL, while 100% Rudy is an abortion industry fundraiser.
If only the fredheads owned youtube, then they’d purge youtube of every video that had anything negative to say about fred thompson.
That makes no sense to do that because this proves that Fred has not wavered since his interview in 1996 that they posted on Real Clear Politics on their blog. He is consistent. Nothing wrong with that.
