Edwards 'embarrassed' by haircut

John Edwards said he’s embarrassed about his now famous $400 haircut.

Campaign finance records show that Edwards’ campaign paid a Beverly Hills stylist $400 for his haircuts. Those pricey snips have undercut Edwards’ image as a populist crusading for the little guy.

“It’s a ridiculous amount of money for a haircut,” Edwards told reporters after a campaign stop on Adel’s town square. “I’m actually embarrassed by it.

“This guy had to come to where I was to get a haircut. I knew it’d be expensive. I didn’t know it would be that expensive. Hopefully I’ll have enough sense not to do that again.”

Edwards rejected the notion that his haircuts don’t jibe with his campaign message...

I guess the palace he lives in can be overlooked the. It was the haircut that outed him as being full of crap.

Now I understand.

Yes, he did.
Ergo: Edwards is a LIAR.

He got two haircuts ar the same price, and he billed the campaign. How do you do it twice and not know how much money is spent?

Is this a legitimate charge to the campaign? Wouldn’t he be getting his hair cut even if he was not running for office???

There really are 2 Americas, and Edwards and his wife are at the top of the heap on the side where most of us will never live.

If he wanted to make points with the average voter why didn’t the goof just walk into Joe’s Clip Joint, pull up a chair and wait his turn in the barber chair. Now that would have been at $15 job, including tip, and given him tons of great PR but being the elitist that he is never passed his mind.

What a phony. The only thing he’s embarrassed about is that it was all over the news.

No one should have to pay for an embarrassing haircut.

We pay for our own haircuts.

We do not have a non profit foundation nor a campaign fund to charge haircuts or anything else.

In spite of my typically unquenchable thirst for knowledge, that's frankly information I can do without.

I wonder if this is the same Hollywood hair stylist Bubba used the time he held Air Force One on the tarmac at LAX so he could have his hair cut. This disrupted airport activities causing flight delays. What is it about ‘Rats and their hair?

Eeeewww! No, he’d have to sit in the same chair that a commoner had used! Pat, you are a cruel man!
