The rebuilding of Iraq, perhaps. But not the decision to topple Saddam from power.

The difference between why war in Iraq and not Iran are many broken treaties. Saddam could’ve avoided war by stepping down.

If it was wiser to have Saddam in power because he kept down “terrorism” then perhaps we should adopt his methods for keeping terrorism down.

We are not fighting in Iraq for the Iraqis we are fighting for our freedom and our way of life and those of our children, grandchildren, and many generations to come. We are fighting in Iraq because it is in Iraq where the world wide islamic terrorist movement has decided to take a stand and fight us to death. It is in Iraq where we are annihilating the terrorists by the tens of thousands. We cannot leave Iraq before we crush the terrorist there, if we do the consequences will be worst than any nightmare we can ever imagine.

What are you talking about?

Religious persecution is nothing new in Iraq.

Saddam killed his own citizens everyday but that’s old news.

Scores of people were purged but its not important now.

We only hear about the 100 Iraqi deaths that happen today since the Coalition Forces been there.

And Iraqi Christians are fleeing their home since March 2003?????

That’s the important news to enforce your “Bush’s worst decision.”

That’s illogical. You can blame Saddam alone for psychologically traumatizing his own people. It will take 30 years or more for the Iraqi citizens to recover from this despot craziness. The recent bombing deaths is nothing new to these people.....its just a quicker way to die compared what Saddam dished out everyday.

Remember...

Religious miniorities in that area were tolerated by those in power if they helped to keep despots in power.

It was a unholy alliance.

Saddam protected Iraqi Christians just like the Iranian Shah protected people in Baha’i faith. Both despots gave these groups good educations, gave them fancy government jobs but expected loyality from them.

Iraqi Christians wanted the UN sanctions to be lifted not out of religious conviction but because Saddam order them to.

What would happen if they objected Saddam’s demands?

When the Despots lost their power the persecution of religious minorities rekindled because they supported the dictators.

Many had to flee their homeland.

It’s nothing new.

Don’t worry Saddam did his share dumping on Christians who didn’t tow his line.
