The Dead Shooter had to have help.

That someone needs to be found or perhaps he is among the dead.

It took them this long to determine that? I feel sooooo safe knowing our law enforcement officers uniformed crime scene investigators are hard at work protecting us. (Thanks to a FReeper whose name I can't remember for that apt description of what many police departments have become)

"According to mostly but not entirely confirmed rumors available to The Reference Frame, the killer was a 6-foot tall male East Asian student from Radford University (where they just canceled a celebration), who was 24 years old, who has received his visa in Shanghai before he arrived on August 7th, and whose girlfriend from Virginia Tech dumped him two weeks ago. He had two guns (at least one of which was a 9 mm caliber handgun) and wore a vest or a black leather jacket - probably a bulletproof vest - with too much ammunition in it as well as a maroon cap".

See the main thread. It's possible this actually is ABC botching a story and misunderstanding a press conference.

It took them no time at all to tell us it wasn't a terrorist attack though!

A ‘person of interest’ is not necessarily someone who was involved in the crime. It could just be someone who the police believe knows the killer, and wants to find him or her to find out more about the killer. Don’t assume this person was involved in the killings in any way.

You know he had help: he couldn’t have bought those guns himself.

If there’s the second shooter, then the love story doesn’t completely make sense now, does it?

A ‘person of interest’ is not necessarily someone who was involved in the crime.

Yes, 'person of interest.' Isn't that what the FBI called that poor chap, Greg something, wasn't it, who got caught up in the Atlanta Olympics bombing. Being a 'person of interest' made his life a living hell.

Will everyone who trust his or her government please raise their hand.

Yes, that’s the angle I am waiting for - - where did this guy get his weapons and ammo, and how did he load up and plan this rampage without anybody else the wiser? Also, he had to have been a pretty good shot, hitting that many people who were likely moving, darting, scrambling, and jumping out windows for their lives.

There is a whole lot nobody knows yet.

Hopefully the whole story will get out and no cover up. I also think there is a whole lot more to this story.

Funny about that. As I said on another thread, the quicker they are to state that when they have hardly had time to ID the perp, the more suspicious I am that it WAS terrorist related.

What a perfect cover up; make it look like a forlorn lover and use a non suspicious national. Test the waters to see what they can get away with. (asbestos underwear on, ready for getting flamed for conspiracy theories)

Helper may be the dead one and the shooter still among the living.

With the MSM, *likely* is probably more accurate than *possible*.

tomorrow chuckie schumer and nancy pelousey will start bantering new gun control legislation as a knee jerk reaction.
I hope they include banning non citizens from possessing firearms as the top of the agenda.
But of course, it will be an assult rifle ban, bannning semi automatic “assult rifles” closing gun shows etc etc.
non citizens won’t even get honorable mention .

At the press conference that was right before 7 central (was listening to it at Wrigley while waiting for the game to start) all those reporters wouldn’t have passed a community college journalism class I took 2 years ago because I wanted to know more about journalism.
