There is no technological solution to the problem; it can only be resolved by sufficiently hard attitudes towards the vermin perpetrating these acts.
I would think that the more violent they get the more desperate they are. If the surge was not working they would be content to ride it out. But I think they know their time is limited, and worse still they know our time is limited. The opposition has made it very clear to our enemies that violence and mayhem on their side. The MSM has shown repeatedly that they will trumpet any attack in the worst possible words and pictures to the world.
The biggest plus in all of this that finally the locals are getting fed up with the minority calling the shots and making such a PITA of themselves. Sounds like here in the US!
There is little doubt that this is a short term tragedy and loss
But people should realize that this monstrous behavior does more to indict Al Qaeda, the Islamic militants, and objectionists of Iraq. It creates a solid culture where Iraqis want to reject Islamic constitutions and move in a more secular direction. It makes them want to sign up for police duty that cooperates with Coalition authorities.
The Iraqis will defeat this monstrosity and it will be the decisive beginning of the end for the Islamist agenda in the World.

I think it is past time to call Muslim Terrorists cowards and condemn them. They need to be forcefully identified as such by ALL citizens of ALL countries and condemned. MSNBC, ABC,NBC,CBS, CNN, BBC and the likes are enabling these Muslim Terrorist bastards by their own cowardice (protecting their reporters a la Eason Jordan of CNN) and hatred for Western Civilization. If we’d had corporate types like this in charge in 1941, we’d all be speaking German. We should have hurt them enough to bring them to the table. If they still continued their ways against the West, and Israel, hurt them twice, and keep hurting them until they come around. And if they never come around, well, then they have made the choice not to join planet earth at its now constituted , and their fate would be of their own choosing. Post 9-11, this whole thing should have had as its kick-off strategy, the deportation of every
suspicious Muslim Jihadist-in-waiting. Europe will eventually have to do it, and I suggest its not too late for us.
