There may be some backlash for sure, how widespread is another issue.

I’m speculating that the reason that the AG is dropping the case is because the accuser is being uncooperative in the investigation. If this proves correct and that is the reason cited by the AG for dropping the case, then I think the protest will be confined to the usual disgruntle race baiters and malcontents.

The worst part of all this is the Duke three will face a lifetime of dealing with the 10 to 20 percent of the world who will always believe they’re guilty. No civil award could ever be enough to right that wrong.

I rhink one of the three accused lacrosse players lost a very good job he would have had if it had not been for these accusations. The rest of the team also went through a couple of months of agony before Nifong decided which three of them to charge. Mike Pressler also got shafted and he wasn’t even at the party.

That is why I think that prosecuting Mangum is important- a case against her would force the truth of her scheme into open court, and let the world without problem that she lied.
