IMO Don’s remark was pretty funny; in fact it was hilarious! What ever happened to people’s sense of humor? He was not being vicious just funny in his irreverant way. To me tough looking, tatooed, muscular girls stand out in contrast to my vision of the the girl next door. I do not think that the young and beautiful women he was referring to really are unattractive when they are not playing basketball.

This is censorship of the highest order. Will Imus be sent to a retraining camp? Or will that be next year for all of us?

Anyone know if MSNBC and/or WFAN (CBS and Viacom) had Imus on a dump button?

Reason I ask is because if MSNBC does have him on a time delay, then MSNBC and/or WFAN didn't have a problem with what he said either, or their guy/s on the dump button would've bleeped what Imus had said.

I think Al has taken a page from the (in)famous New York lawyer Roy Cohn’s “favor bank”.

No assets, no income, just a steady stream of favors returned (like 5-star hotel accommodation, private jet transport).

I guess it’s also useful to have some cash left over in defunct political accounts, in case some emergency “walking around money” is needed.

This gives him plenty of time to get the PR that he needs. He will use this week to build the ratings for when he comes back.

Don’t forget when he was running for president and he thought all that campaign money was his personal expense account. He got all liquored up and bought the finest hotels possible. What a stupid ass negro.

He’s raising money for his charities this week, so they decided to wait until money.

(Although I expect his donations will be down this week.)

Imus was funny back in his Renaldo Santana Banana and Billy Saul Hargus days. It’s kinda been down hill since then.

I don’t care much for Imus. He’s an idiot and a jerk and he mumbles. However, I really don’t care for Sharpton. He’s a repulsive charlatan trying to act like he’s some legitimate voice for black people. Imus was an idiot for trying to grovel to Sharpton. He should have never gone that route. He should have personally apologized to the women he insulted and left it at that. The media going on and on over a stupid comment is ridiculous.

And what Imus is doing this morning is embarrasing--going on and on about how he really is a good guy. He needs to hang it up.

He has a charity fund raiser for SIDS this week and cutting him off immediately would have stopped the fund raiser and hurt the kids. That would have been very bad PR for CBS and MSNBC on top of all of this.

Has anyone here ever listened to a black station? They frequently spew violently anti-white hate speech and are never called on it. It’s a sickening double standard.

Imus was making a joke, from a Spike Lee movie no less.

Imagine if a “respected” white man said “And the one idea is, how we are going to exterminate black people because that in my estimation is the only conclusion I have come to. We have to exterminate black people off the face of the planet to solve this problem.”. Do you think the media would just shrug it off like they did when Kamau Kambon was speaking at Howard University Law School and suggest the same thing but said “white people” instead of black?

” Did Imus really call her the cleaning lady covering the White House? ‘

wasn’t the same ones condeming Imus now, the same ones who were calling Powell “Uncle Tom” in the White House?

I love that cartoon.

A picture is surely worth a thousand words and this one is totally apt.

I havent watched Imus and his dumb-assed hat for a long time, but this cartoon is right on. He tried to get by kissing Al’s butt and he got it right in the face.

Why is it that white people cant remember that its ok to satire everything but blacks. Blacks are untouchable. It ruined Howard Cosell and Jimmy the Greek, and it may indeed ruin Imus. Not that his time wasnt overdue anyway.

Like the Dixie Pigs Imus has to take his lumps. Free Speech in America gives us the right to say anything we like, but it doesnt mean we are safe from those we said it about.

By the way I only read what IMus said I nver heard him say it. I thought it was funny, but then I like The Cable Guy too and I dont care what ya say. He’s funny.

Where is the outrage regarding rappers calling women worse than that? Where is the outrage over rich white men making a profit off of black rappers?

All I hear are crickets.

All this groveling is making me nauseous.

Epiphanny Prince is a thug; a little fact that has gone unmentioned in this fiasco. For Bergtraum High School last year she scored 113 points against a totally outclassed opponent. Final score: 134-32. Before that she was charged with assault and menacing, convicted by a Brooklyn jury of harrasment and sentenced to community service. A slap on the wrist. When Bergtraum lost to Christ the King in the city championship game Prince & Company whined like a bunch of little sissies.

These “exceptional young women” at Rutgers wear tattoos and swagger like street gang sluts. Then they get their feelings hurt when someone calls them on it.

Way to go Tennessee.

BTW: I was crushed last year when Rutgers Football lost their last game to miss a BSC invitation.

I find it rather sad that two of the biggest hypocrites in the world are leading the charge against Don Imus. I refer here to the “Revs” Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. It was good old Jessie who committed adultery with a female employee of his money-grubbing Rainbow Coalition and Sharpton who took a teen-agers wild lies about rape and ran with it all the way to a bank wherein he reportedly deposited $50,000 of poor Bill Cosby’s money. The two conveniently overlook the fact that black rappers continue to call black women nappy headed hos without fear of retribution. They are making scads of money in the process, with the bulk of the profits going to white record producers who are playing these imbeciles like drums. Imus has done more for poor cancer-stricken children than Jackson and Sharpton will ever do. All those two are interested in is lining their own pockets. If you really are known by the quality of your critics, then Imus stands taller than the Statue of Liberty when lined up beside Jackson and Sharpton. This morning I watched Matt Lauer soil his pants again while putting Imus through the ringer. Where in the world do the major networks get these idiots from? The whole thing makes me sick. Lauer needs his sorry a.. kicked all over the studio.

I caught a quick clip this morning of Imus on the Rev'rund Al show, and he was pretty pitiful. If he'd had the cojones he pretends to have, he'd have gotten right up in Sharpton's face and started calling him "Tawana".

But nooooooooooooooo, he squirmed like a weasel on a stick. And I must admit, I consider him such a thoroughly obnoxious POS, that I felt the most wonderful shiver of schadenfreude...
