How not to teach children about sex
MercatorNet ^ | April 3, 2007 | William Keenan

British authorities promote sex education programmes that would make a sailor blush - and achieve record rates of disease and pregnancy.

We have just learned from a United Nations’ report that Britain is the worst place in the developed world in which to be a child... [snip] of little surprise to many people in this country, especially those who have witnessed successive governments undermining the family and taking away its authority and basic rights.

One of the worst examples of this destructive intervention in family life is the sex education system that has been imposed on schools... [snip] encouraging children as young as 12 years old to have sex. This is not only destroying childhood innocence but has given Britain the worst sexual health in the western world and the most one-parent families...

Thanks, wagglebee. It’s where we’re heading if we can’t awaken “heteronormative” parents to retake the school boards.

A lot of Freepers admire Tony Blair because of his participation in the Iraqi war. But his domestic policies have been more sinister. He has pushed hard for radical homosexual rights, he pushed a bill to lower the homosexual age of consent for miners through Parliament, and I’m sure he approves of the subversion of family through sex education too.

No question that this comes from the left. And it has been more and more widespread in western establishment thinking, especially since the paradigm change that took place in 1968. The sexual revolution of the 60s didn’t come out of nowhere: it was the product of leftist thought.

In some areas of the country, as well as the college campuses, it’s already happening...

Every bit saddening as it is sick...

For an ostensible Christian, he has proved deeply disappointing on social issues.

Interesting article given that in the U.S. we’ve had two instances of children engaging in sexual behavior in 5th and 6th grade classrooms in the very recent past few weeks. If we promote sexual behavior (T.V., music, movies, Internet, etc) then we should expect them to follow the examples given them. Hollywierd should die a painful death by way of the rest of us not buying their garbage.

I heard at lunch on Rush that the Brits will no longer teach the Holocaust!!! That’s right! He said it’s because Muslims don’t believe it happened and they don’t want to offend the Muslim sensibilities!

Few remember him as Bubba's best bud. Blackbird.

Yes, you said it. Blair had a LOT more fun bombing Belgrade with Bubba than going into Iraq with W. He was pushing for the Yugoslavia war, and giving speeches on the NWO during the runup to it, but he managed to postpone the Iraq war for maybe 6 months.

To give him credit, I think he went against his own inclinations because he understood that the Special Relationship was vital to England’s welfare. Losing the goodwill of America was a price he didn’t want England to pay, not personally, but for the sake of the U.K.

But I don’t really think his heart was in it.

I’m consistently alarmed at what I see happening to the culture and society in Great Britain. When I see it happen there, I know it is very well possible here.
