READ:
Psalm 23He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. Psalm 23:2
Our office is a busy place where things sometimes feel like they are moving at breakneck speed. This often involves meeting after meeting, hallway conferences, and an avalanche of e-mail.
In the midst of this extreme busyness, I sometimes feel the need to escape, to decompress. My response? To create a quiet place. On those days when I have no lunch meeting, I retreat to the quiet of my car. I grab some lunch and sit in my car, where I can read, listen to music, think, prayand be refreshed.
I think this is the essence of what the shepherd-psalmist points to in Psalm 23:2. He sees the Good Shepherd bringing him to still watersthat is, waters to rest by. It pictures a quiet place, a retreat from the pressures of life, where you can rest in the presence of the Shepherd of your heart and be strengthened for what lies ahead. Even Jesus withdrew to a solitary place to pray and commune with His Father (Mark 1:35).
We all need retreats in our lives, not only because of the overwhelming nature of life, but because of our dependence on the resources of the Master. In our fast-paced days, it is essential to find a place of solitude, a place of quiet rest, near to the heart of God. Wheres yours?
There is a place of quiet rest,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the heart of God. McAfee
When we draw near to God our minds are refreshed and our strength is renewed!

Hugs back to you.
All is well despite the storms. The really nasty stuff is to the east of us and one town has been hit with a tornado (at least brushed by one).

Bless this door, that it may prove ever open to joy and love.
Bless these windows shining bright, Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there, with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within, keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we May dwell O Lord with thee.

We are under a tornado watch, but the most that we may get is rain. Personally, I would prefer that no one has tornadoes - nasty things.

I have to give the Russian's credit, they sure do know how to build a nice aircraft.
My only question is it totally a Russian design,or did they steal the technology from the C-5 Galaxy.

Prayers for you. You've been under lots of them this past week. I hope none of them have come near you. I have a friend whose boyfriend lives there and he watched it as he ate at a restaurant last Sunday afternoon! Egad!
