Gore, environmentalists and the scientific community... but what about Climatologist who are much more guarded in their pronouncements. The seriousness of global warming is mostly sensed in the liberal psyche.

One of the problems Gore, environmentalists and the scientific community have in conveying the seriousness of global warming is that its most severe effects to date have been felt in the polar regions, far from the places where most politicians and their constituents live.

The implication - if you don’t agree with Gore, you’re too stupid to realize that far-away problems could still affect you.

The idea that you’ve evaluated the science, heard both sides of the debate, and came to a conclusion that doesn’t not agree with Gore’s outlook is impossible. You’re just dumb.

This ABC piece puckers up and kisses Al Gore's butt. The difference between a claimed 40-foot rise in ocean levels (Gore's movie) and a 23-inch rise (maximum per the scientific community) is not minor. And raising the point is not a matter of politics.

Gore is lying about what the scientists are saying. And ABC makes the situation worse by not doing the first duty of any reporter on any story -- get the facts right, and let the chips fall where they may.

Did you know that algore is in trouble with the EPA for the zinc mining operations that are going on in his Tenn. property?

Also as for the global warming stuff, with the sun's magnetic field in flux & the Earth's magnetic field also in flux and the Earth's iron core, you get an electrical disturbance and a byproductic of that is .......

HEAT!!

That is the cause of the so called global warming stuff, just basic magnetic/electrical therory...

effects to date have been felt in the polar regions

Wouldn't that make it regional warming and not global?

(This would be the same January that was part of the warmest Northern Hemisphere winter on record.)

Not according to NASA who said it was a normal winter but hey, why let facts get in the way of a good line of propaganda.

"It seems that everything is blamed on global warming," Republican Sen. James Inhofe of Oklahoma complained. "How come you guys never seem to notice when it gets cold?"

Excellent question!

Record Low Temps Seen in Parts of U.S., Dec. 2005

The mercury dived to a record 45 below at West Yellowstone, Mont., the frequently cold spot at the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the National Weather Service said. The old record for Dec. 7 was 39 below, set in 1927.

The cold even extended south to the Texas Panhandle, where Lubbock shivered at a record low 6 above zero, the weather service said.

Elsewhere Wednesday, the weather service said record lows for the date included 28 below zero at Drummond, Mont., where the date's previous record was 21 below in 1971; 26 below at Seeley Lake, Mont.; 25 below at Laramie, Wyo., tying a 1978 reading; 17 below at Alliance, Neb.; 19 below at Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and 3 below at Lincoln, Ill.

I beg to differ, penguins live in antarctica and algore says they'll all die, so he DOES have constituents there..give him some time and he'll figure out how to give them the vote too..

And when this doesn't work, then the next forecast will be for 50 feet sea level rise by 2200 and it will be our great-great-great-great-great-great grandchildren who will suffer, the poor darlings.

Isin't it interesting that just about all of the geographic references made by global warming alarmists are far, far from any place most of us could check on?

it sure is. it's sensed as an opportunity to exercise total government power on an unprededented scale.
