Just heard eyewitness report on Australian radio station that truck has 'blown up' in Melbourne's citylink tunnel. Tunnels are closed, smoke is being seen coming from smoke stacks, but little confirmed information as of yet.
The citylink tunnels are major transport infrastructure. If something has exploded in one, it could be very serious.
Any reports on possible terror links yet?
This is not good. Prayers up.
Probably another Fuzzy Muzzie just showing the love.
There are Amish in Australia?
Either a serious 'oops', or the friendly neighborhood 'religion of peace'.

I bet it was Quaker truck.
I went to the radio site- nothing posted there yet.

I've switched on Sky News Australia (as close as we have to 24 hour TV news here) and they haven't even addressed this yet.
All that seems certain is that there is smoke, and the tunnels have been closed. Some people who drove out of the tunnel are reporting seeing a 'fireball' but how reliable that uis - I don't know.
Hopefully, no news means no major problem, but at the moment, all we are getting is sports news.
Something to read while we wait for news.

Man, I hate traveling through tunnels. I use to go to Pittsburg, PA on business, and always hated the tunnels.
For anyone not familiar, here's a page devoted to what I think is the tunnel in question:
Sky News is now reporting major crash in tunnel.. Hopefully they are right and this is an accident.
Citylink webcam seems to show empty tunnel, no sign of fire/smoke.
ABC now has a reporter on-scene; tunnel entrances blocked off, people being evacuated, lots of smoke - incident apparently due to a collision between a truck and one or more cars.
FOX hasn't broken in with a news alert yet. I sure hope this isn't as bad as it sounds. hmmmm
