Luther Ingram, the man who co-wrote one of pop music's greatest hits, has died at age 69.
Ingram, whose recording of "If Loving You Is Wrong (I Don't Want to Be Right)" was a No. 1 hit in 1973, died Monday in St. Louis.

The article you posted from Fox News had to be excerpted further. Material from Fox News needs more than one sentence removed to be considered excerpted unless it's a two sentence article. In this case you could have removed about half of the article and it would have been fine.
The current soul and RB scene is just a sad imitation, and don't even get me started on hip hop.

What I dislike most about rap and hip hop is it chased real R&B and beautiful soul music off the airways.

No doubt that what passes for music (with a few exceptions) today sickens...
Two more of the best...both dead too young...but what music they made.
