"And we should keep in our thoughts the further unbearable grief of a wall that could be imagined to include the names of the Vietnamese dead, a wall that might stretch the length of the walk to the Pentagon."

Uh huh......this lefty (like all of them" ignores the body-count of S Vietnamese killed by Vn Communists; the Laotians killed by Commies, the multiple millions of Cambodians killed afterward by Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge (Cambodian Communists.....lets see.....Burma (I mean Myanmar, the Communist former Burma), too. Maybe 10 million total; yup, those lefties love those dominoes but forget them when it is convenient or necessary.

Hear! Hear!

This leftist mourns the deaths of the North Vietnamese forces but conveniently forgets the hundreds of thousands who the NVA and VC murdered, tortured, and brutalised as well as the hundreds of thousands of fallen men of the South Vietnamese forces. However, such a "memory problem" is understandable when one is of the ideological persuasion that glorifies thugs, butchers, and rapists so long as they claim to be working for "The Common Good."

You forget. Leftiest brains can only hold so much information. That's why they use mantras and slogans and repeat them over and over. With the figures you just presented, their brains would go into overload....and of course that informatino wouldn't suit their purpose either!

the multiple millions of Cambodians killed afterward by Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge ....

But those are the good guys! Dontcha remember when the documentary "Hearts and Minds" got the Academy Award, Bert Schneider's acceptance speech praised the Khmer Rouge for liberating Kampuchea. The hard times afterwards was just part of the re-education process (DU mode off).

And when Schneider gave that that speech, my parents were wondering why I was giving the finger at the television and cussing at Schneider in a way that Gunny Hartman would run for cover. Of course not long after were the stories of the killing fields.
