A 6 year old boy in Georgia was found today and unfortunately the news wasn't good..this website will allow you to see who has been convicted of what and where they live in relation to your home..it doesn't hurt to check, and you may just be surprised to see the results

I looked up our zip code for the first time just a few minutes ago, I was shocked and going to have a serious talking to my 7 year old son this weekend - somehow.

Being a parent, I recommend checking the site often. Many of these offenders move around frequently. I live under the assumption that pretty much anyone in the neighborhood "could" be someone to watch. Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but...

Not only is there molester and a rapist in my neighborhood they are on either side of the local elementary school. And it seems like such a nice neighborhood. Friendly people, they help each other.

A good word of advice given to me a few years ago was that if you want to know what goes on in your city or town buy a good scanner. Most people think all is hunky dory in their neighbor hoods. Not only is there allot of weird stuff going on but it is interesting how many of the incidents involve illegals.

I read somewhere that over half these cases are "first-time" offenses -- and very often by somebody already known to the child (even family).
EVERYONE needs have this talk with their children (just as my parents had with me, decades ago). The danger isn't only from re-offenders...
