What Is Driving Global Climate?
Science isn't done by consensus. It's done by rigorous testing. When a hypothesis -- or a computer model -- fails to correspond to the actual real-world data, you throw it out.
That's what the real climate scientists are doing. They have found, in recent years, a very close correspondence between global climate and variations in the amount of radiation the Earth receives from the Sun.
The light and heat we get varies depending on the distance and position of the Earth and the amount of radiation the Sun puts out. The Earth's distance and position seem to determine the big cycles -- the Ice Ages -- and the Sun's variations seem to determine the smaller climate cycles.

Orson Scott Card points out the major failing of how modern scientific research is carried out: nobody gets to do any research except in fulfillment of a research grant. Which means that, if you want to make a living as a research scientist, you cannot afford to have results which make your grant issuer unhappy enough that he does not continue to fund you
The article gave me the amusing mental pictures of the primitive Druids of 1,500 years ago, trying to make sense of global warming. Reading a chicken’s entrails, casting mystic powders into the wind, and rolling the knuckle bones of their dead mothers, they came to the conclusion that the gods were angered, and only sacrifice could appease them.
The Druids of today, using computers and fake data sets rather than chicken entrails and mystic powders, have reached the same conclusions!
Global warming is a fact, period. Now why it's warming is the question. Anthropogenic cause (us) is what all the hype is about these days. Even if it is true, it's a young theory with a lot of hype and politics surrounding it from the beginning, which doesn't do much for its trustworthiness. It's definitely far too young to be discounting alternates so easily, or making big decisions based on it. It hasn't even made any predictions that have come true (one of the hallmarks of a solid theory).
I can think of only 3 without reading further.

Remember the atmosphere is 20.9% oxygen, 79% nitrogen, and 0.1% ALL other gases.
