the above that you wrote is what my husband always brings up when I mention Fred Thompson. He was so disgusted that Fred could not handle Glenn. Does anyone else worry about this and does anyone have an idea of why Fred let it happen?
We understand about Glenn. He sold most of his soul when he became a democrat and the remaining part when he defended Clinton's illegal actions for a mess of pottage, or a space trip, I forget which.

So was I.
Perhaps that hearing was the beginning of the end of our hopes for pinning anything criminal on Clinton. Perhaps it was because the demeanor of Fred Thompson and our expectations of what a Committee Chairman could do were demonstrated to be so inadequate.
Perhaps, it was because Glenn did it for a ride in a space ship, and not for standing on any principle, that left such a lasting memory.

Their primary concern is impressing their colleagues in the news rooms - that's the way to career advancement and Pulitzer prizes. Politically correct (i.e., liberal-slanted) news reporting is the way to go, not concern with the facts.
They just don't appreciate the finer things in life snugs like we do.
Not sure that he's paid his debt even now, but he owed much much money for his campaign. He felt he didn't need to repay that money.
