So, the city that hates the Navy now wants favors from the Navy. How special is that? Maybe the Navy should suggest Hunter's Point as the new home for USS Iowa.

And I bet the SF Mayor doesn't see the hypocrisy in all of this.

After how SF has treated the Navy, the Navy would really look like losers and loose respect if they turned around and did favors to SF.

A billion dollars to move some dirt around??? They say 'clean up' but all that means is that they move the dirt from one place to another. What other country would pay $1,000,000,000 to move some dirt?

The proper DOD response should be two words: Sod Off.

That was one of the suggested homes. But the libs don't want the Iowa in any way shape or form. I'm still holding out for Stockton but it doesn't look good.

The last time an effort was made to bring Iowa to SF the city counsel made making her a museum celebrating the contributions of gays and lesbians in the military the limiting condition.

No, I'd just as soon see the navy scuttle her than allow her to be brought to SF.

The 49ers are gone. They have no intention of staying in SF. Why should they deal with the BS the city throws at them.
