Bush signed that bill, thinking the Supreme Court would overturn it, but no such thing happened.

Bush signed the bill. Period. To sign it only to hope the Supreme Court would overturn it would be irresponsible and foolish. I doubt that was his plan.

McPain is re-inventing himself, much like carter continually tries when he is busted for being ridiculous.

Why did he join Kerry to cover up the MIAS/POWS that may still be in Vietnam?

Being a victim does not qualify one for the Presidency.

"cast the same vote nearly nine times out of ten"

But it's the tenth ones that are the problem.

John McCain’s conservative record is excellent...

...but he's a psych case who shouldn't get anywhere near the nuclear football.

JMHO

If his record is excellent, why did he try to alientate and attack the right (correct) wing of the Republican Party so often ?

McCain is a decent man and a war hero. Unfortunately, his position on illegal immigration is a disaster.

Couple that with the insult that Americans would not work for $50/hr. picking lettuce. LOL.

Hogwash!

OMG, I think Jon Kyl is one of the few human beings in the Senate who is worthy of being there. This gives me one of those headaches.

"McCain spent 6 years as POW. How many did you spend?"

How about dealing with the issues raised instead of getting personal about something that is irrelevant? Since those issues are what are of concern to us here.

And, yeah, I was looking for a barf alert, too. I don't trust McCain, don't care who likes him.

"McCain is moving in the right direction and his victory in the SC Spartanburg straw poll shows that he resonates with mainstream conservatives."

The straw poll result was a three way for first--Rudy, Mitt and John each with 22 percent of the votes.

What I conclude is that even in this conservative location 2/3 feel select Rudy, Mitt or John.

I further conclude that, barring some major event, the nominee will be one of those three.

Helps me stay out of fantasyland.
