"We have a governor who is very committed to public safety."
So he wants violent criminals locked up for long, long periods of time or does he only support window dressing like this proposed ban?

""We have a governor who is very committed to public safety." " An armed society insures public safety. The Los Angeles bank robbers reaked havoc because of 'public safety' gun laws.

"We have a governor who is very committed to public safety." Mr. O'Malley, a Democrat, pledged his support for the proposed ban while campaigning last year for governor. Emotional blather to pander to his bed-wetting liberal base. Where is the science to show any benefit to public safety by banning "ugly" semi-automatic rifles and not others? That is all it is since there is no such thing as an "assault rifle." Where is the data to show that banning any kind of firearm will improve public safety? Nowhere because it doesn't exist.
