Good. Anything to give borrowers more time and stave off foreclosure is good. The process is way too fast in most states as it is.

Its not that fast. Most foreclosure notices don't make it THAT far. A borrower has to be in extremis for the lender to pull the trigger. I'm betting most of those situations involved ARMs where the payment took a sudden jump and there was little or equity in the home left to refinance and get the payments lowered. If you don't have fixed, well to borrow a pun here, you're looking to find yourself in a fix.
