Sounds like this woman is a fine, upstanding citizen, who is active in many groups that help people down on their luck. There had to be something more than this article is saying to make such a person tell an illegal criminal to go back to Mexico. Sounds like it was the straw that broke the camel's back - OR - this illegal was a plant, trying to set the lady up.
The media seems to be getting a little worried about Hunter, must cut him down now.
Actually the immigration issue in S.C. is red hot.
3 years ago my car got plowed into by a van full of illegal (I presume). When all van came to rest they all jumped out and
ran - leaving the van behind.
Honest - it was Like a Ringling Brothers circus routine.
I was left at the scene with a smashed ride - while the police
went off looking for the runners.
THAT SAID: dirty little truth - I have bunch that cuts my grass and does the garden - and I guarantee you they are illegal.
BUT CHEAP...
Ok - so there it is - I am a complete hypocrite on the issue.
BIG TIME
I wanted to read more about this event. The phrasing the woman used, that the "best thing" would be to go back to Mexico, made me curious. If the woman is an illegal immigrant who is already afoul of our laws, then what is the benefit to her of placing herself in further jeopardy and trying to negotiate a court system where she probably does not speak the language, has no money for representation, and, presumably, limited family support. Frankly, the best thing probably would be for her to go back to her homeland, especially if doing so would get her children away from their abuser.
