Kareem’s Family Disowns Him; Father Wants Him Killed If He Does Not “Repent” [Egyptian atheist]
Free Kareem | The Egyptian Today ^ | 2/18/07

Reported by Al-Masree Al-Yawm (The Egyptian Today), with thanks to Dalia.

The article is in Arabic. Here’s my translation, in full:

Family of Al-Azhar Student, Accused of “Contempt of Religion”, Disowns Him Before His Court Verdict Session

Written by Nabeel Abu Shal and Tamer Al-Sharqawy 18/2/2007

The family of Al-Azhar student Abdul Kareem Nabeel Suleiman, accused of “contempt of religion”, has disowned him before his court verdict session on the upcoming Thursday. His father, a retired mathematics teacher, has demanded applying the Sharia [Islamic law] ruling on him by giving him three days to repent, followed by having him killed if he does not announce his repentance.

The father of the Al-Azhar student, who is accused of contempt of the Islamic religion, harming the reputation of Egypt, and inciting to disrupt the peace and to overthrow the regime, has decided to rescind from boycotting his trial hearing sessions. [He has decided] to attend the court verdict session with his four brothers, who completely memorized the Holy Quran, to announce disowning the accused Abdul Kareem inside the court room, in order to reduce the embarrassment and pressure that civil rights organizations are applying on the court panel.

The father of the accused also described the organizations that are working on having his son acquitted as “monkey rights” organizations, in his own words. He also described his son as the “monkey” who has imitated the atheists of the West in their intellectual thinking.

The family also said that they will announce their disownment of their son on the Internet as well.

The Dean of Sharia in Al-Azhar University, which the student Abdul Kareem attends, had him attend a disciplinary hearing after he attacked the Islamic religion on the Internet, and spoke against the Messenger of Allah – peace and blessings be upon him – and the companions [of the prophet of Islam].

In a muslim's eyes, human rights organizations are equivalent to monkey rights organizations. Can't get any more anti-Western than that.

One of the problems of converting from Islam to Christianity. The first people to call for your death are your own family.

It's not just a religious thing. It's also an honor thing. He has dishonored his family and must die to remove the stain.

In a muslim's eyes, human rights organizations are equivalent to monkey rights organizations.

And yet most "Human Rights" organizations (which are basically liberal groups) are anti western and pro muslim. The irony..

That's absurd. Why would you willingly kill someone for not repenting and thereby send them to hell? Wouldn't you want to take as long as necessary to secure their souls? Muslims really are a bunch of idiotic brutes.

There is honor among evil people?

Because Islam can have NO, zero, nada questioning raised about it, because it can not stand under the light of scrutiny. people like this man's father don't know this, they are simply parroting that they have been force fed. The leaders of Islam know that they can not defend Islam against scrutiny, which is why they must eliminate those that would scrutinize with a vengeance.

Now that makes a whole lot of sense. The son has imitated the west, so the family is going to do the same thing to show they disown him.

You make the common mistake of assuming that Allah is the same as the Christian God and that the Muslims have a heaven and hell which are somehow the same as the Christian heaven and hell.

More likely the Christian God is the Muslim Satan and vice-versa. That implies a similar reversal of heaven and hell.

I wonder....
Will the ACLU, C.A.I.R., Amnesty International, U.N., Moveon.org, soros, Hollywood Genius Pool or any of a thousand "Human Rights" organizations --- come to the aid of this poor bastard?

I thought not....
A fool could get his ass killed in that part of the world, while playing the fool we tend to tolerate and give unearned respect.

Actually -- I'm coming to like the way Islamists deal with "trouble makers"....

Yes, indeed. Family reputation is vital to Muslims. There was a piece posted here yesterday about Muslim family and cousin marriage. They are highly inbred.

No, it's not true honor. But it's honor according to a code distorted by Islam and primitive beliefs.

That's why you hear so much about "honor killings" among Muslims. If somebody rapes your sister or daughter, that dishonors the family, and the only way to fix it is to kill her. Not our idea of honor, certainly. But that's the motivation: to clean monkey dirt, as this article suggests, off the family honor.

I think Islam is a hell bound cult, the whole of them. But to them this is the same as condemnation.

They can't, it's been bread out of them as a society.
