Crime dropped in NYC because of Rudy, it dropped at a much faster pace.

Mostly because the rest of the country don't vote like the rocks-for-brains liberals of NYC that elected liberals for decades who turned their city into a cesspool. You know, other places really don't have problems with squeegeemen and public urinaters.

Or were you refering to the MURDER, RAPE and VIOLENT CRIME statistics, all of which PLUMMETED under Guiliani. Folks around the country seemed to like those stats just the way they were. Yessirree, Bob! I don't recall any major city (or even any minor) one that had Murder, Arson, or Rape stats of zero, so they ALL had room for improvement. Stat-wise cutting 2 to 1 is a 50% drop, so those small cities shouldn't have had a problem slashing their violent crime rates.

And, please, note my original post, which was not an endorsement of Rudy, but an indictment of anyone who thought that he wasn't going to be a player in this election cycle.
